This was my first visit to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. I booked a 5 PM ticket through Klook. Before the activity, the booking agency contacted me via WhatsApp to explain how to use it. Also, because we went on a weekday, Klook informed us that we could actually enter at any time, so we arrived at 4 PM. Some people choose to visit at night to see the Bund's exterior, but we chose the dusk period because you can clearly see the buildings. We bought a two-attraction ticket, which I found to be reasonably priced. I had also booked the buffet, and we even went to the 95M and 98M levels to play VR, which was excellent. We spent about 1.75 to 2 hours playing games.

I didn't expect this experience to be this good. I've been to multiple towers already but this one has a lot of experience, not just with the observatory and the restaurant but there's a lot of activities you can try too as you go down the tower. I LOVED IT. There's also a light show of the tower outside which I didn't expect. Amazing and really worth it. The food in the buffet is premium too.

We visited the Oriental Pearl Tower (东方明珠塔) on a Friday afternoon, and were pleasantly surprised that the crowd was not overwhelming. The queue to enter was relatively short, making for a smooth experience. We booked our entrance tickets and revolving international buffet dinner at the revolving restaurant through Klook, which was very convenient. The tower offers a 360° panoramic view of Shanghai. Although there is an option to visit the highest sphere at an additional cost, we found the middle sphere more than sufficient to take in the stunning cityscape. Our dinner reservation was at 5pm, but a queue started forming as early as 4pm — and of course, being Singaporeans, we instinctively joined in! The buffet was decent for the price, and came with free-flow Tsingtao beer. The views were absolutely breathtaking, especially witnessing the city transform from daylight to sunset to the dazzling night skyline. Overall, it was a great experience — one we would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Shanghai.

SUPER WORTH IT. The food selection at the entire buffet is so diverse and multi cuisine. they also have lamb shank, steak, and prawn thermidor. they have japanese station serving high quality salmon and other seafoods. as for the the pearl observation deck- the view was nice though a bit cloudy during my time so that's a con.

While some videos advise tourists not to spend money on the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and instead enjoy the Huangpu River view from other tall buildings, after experiencing it myself, I personally recommend purchasing the "Two Spheres Sightseeing + Revolving Restaurant" package. It's an excellent choice for first-time visitors to Shanghai to experience its past and present charm. Here's why: 1. Convenient Transportation: Exit 1 of Lujiazui Station on Metro Line 2. 2. Start your visit in the afternoon to enjoy the daytime scenery, watch the sunset, and then have dinner with a night view. Three types of Shanghai scenery in one go. 3. My actual visiting order and experience (November, a crowded Saturday): (1) Security check upon entry. All backpacks and handbags must go through the scanner. Scan the QR code for your voucher. (2) Queue (for a long time) to take the elevator to the 263M main observation deck. The floor area is not as spacious as imagined, and it's very, very crowded, sunny, and hot. Luckily, I applied sunscreen. The best-selling item seemed to be ice cream. There are a few seats, but it's hard to find an empty one. It was too crowded and hot, the worst part of the experience. (3) Go down the stairs to the 259M fully transparent suspended sightseeing corridor. Although it was still crowded, the cool breeze made me relax and enjoy the view and take photos. There were more empty seats to rest. (4) At 16:30, go up the stairs back to the 263M main observation deck, queue, and prepare to enter the revolving restaurant. Sunset at 16:51. I took two photos. (5) At 17:00, go up the stairs to the 267M revolving restaurant to enjoy a buffet dinner and the night view. The seating area rotates one full circle (360 degrees) in about 2 hours. The relative positions of the seats and the buffet tables constantly change, so it's easy to get lost when returning to your seat after getting food (haha~). The lighting on the tables in the seating area varies by section, which can be used to identify your seat. Because of the high altitude and rotation, you can see the Huangpu River view that you "cannot see when standing on the Bund sightseeing promenade." Many people comment that the food is ordinary, but I evaluated it based on its cost-effectiveness. Using the price indicated on the WeChat mini-program as the basis for calculation: The "Two Spheres Sightseeing" alone costs RMB 199. The "Two Spheres Sightseeing + Revolving Restaurant Dinner" costs RMB 418. Deducting the cost of the two spheres sightseeing, the revolving restaurant dinner is RMB 219 (NT$981, including service charge). I ask, is there any buffet dinner in Taiwan that includes a service charge at this price? Especially when this price includes a beautiful high-altitude view! Let me briefly introduce the buffet dishes. The freshly grilled lobster and steak are the most popular. The freshly grilled squid (or cuttlefish?) with sauce is also good. The freshly made abalone with rice is worth trying (ask the chef to put just a little rice). I recommend not taking the millet sea cucumber; it tastes fishy. The sign in the sashimi area specifically states that the salmon is from Norway, and I found the quality to be quite good after tasting it. There are some major Chinese dishes, like golden soup sauerkraut fish, but I didn't try it that day because I had a poor appetite. The diverse braised dishes and spicy skewers are very interesting. Various Hong Kong-style roasted meats and dim sum are available if you like these types of food. Western food like smoked pork ribs and secret recipe ham are popular. The pasta is of a quality you could make at home. The mango sago dessert is ordinary. The fruits and other small Western pastries are ordinary. Both the mango and tiramisu flavored ice creams are delicious. There aren't many drink options. Beer is available, which is normal. The cold drinks look colorful, but I only dared to drink Coke. Unsweetened jasmine green tea is fine for hot drinks. The dining time limit is 2 hours. If you leave 15 minutes early, you can get a random small gift. The paper bag I received contained a pack of nuts and a pack of animal crackers. (6) Queue for the elevator to the 98M Sky Base (electric amusement park). You can think of it as a high school arcade. This floor is very quiet. If you want to take night photos, you can quietly compose your shots and capture the very bright night view of the Bund. (7) Walk down the stairs to 95M, where there's a roller coaster that requires an additional fee. I didn't ride it. (8) Walk down the stairs to the 90M outdoor observation deck. There's no glass curtain wall, but rather a wire mesh. You can see the Foxconn building opposite and the circular pedestrian bridge in front of the station, which leads directly to the subway station without crossing the road. (9) Take the elevator to 78M to stand on the circular path and watch the "Future Shanghai" curved screen video. The content talks about the imagination of Shanghai's future. Some might find it too much like a sci-fi movie, but I think it's great; a city should bravely dream! We found the video's title very romantic: "更上.海" (Updating City). The character "更" (gēng, meaning 'more' or 'update') contains the character "申" (shēn), which is an old name for Shanghai. This can be interpreted as "申更" (shēngēng), meaning "Shanghai Update." The dot between "上" (shàng, meaning 'up') and "海" (hǎi, meaning 'sea' or 'Shanghai') allows for a pause, interpreting it as "更上" (gēngshàng, meaning 'to a higher level') and "海" (hǎi, meaning 'Shanghai'), thus understanding it as "Shanghai reaching a higher level." It not only injects a sense of hope but also fully utilizes the profoundness of the Chinese language. (10) Return to the 1st floor, 0M Shanghai Urban History Development Exhibition Hall (requires scanning the QR code again). I originally didn't have high hopes for this exhibition hall. When I first entered, I wondered if it was a wax museum? As I walked through, I gradually realized that this hall is very well done. It takes people through a time tunnel, growing with Shanghai from ancient times to the present, for example, recreating old cafes, Nanjing Road, the Bund (Shili Yangchang), the stock exchange, and film before movies existed. All of these left a deep impression on me. (11) 0M Oriental Pearl Souvenir Shop. Finally, as is customary, I browsed the gift shop. Bookmarks and silk scarves are good choices. If you first enjoy the night view from the Bund sightseeing promenade and then go up the tower, you can appreciate the fun of different perspectives even more. Purchase tickets on Klook. Real-name registration is required, and you must enter your passport number. Make sure you don't buy the wrong package! It's the "Sky Revolving Restaurant," not the Coca-Cola Happy Restaurant.

Wow!!! very satisfied....the night view is fantastic, the buffet dinner was good, with unli lobsters :) there's an interactive activity for kids too. Must try!!!

Very nice tour, with a good overview of the city. The dinner is also good, with fresh food for various cuisines. The staff and guides are user-friendly and helpful along the way.

It was great. The weather started to get worse in the late afternoon. For a fee of 100 yuan, you can climb 351 meters to the highest point of the tower.
