Tour guide Roberto was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and allowed the group the opportunity to explore at leisure as much as the schedule allowed for. Cosimo the driver was also great, and punctual which was much appreciated. Unfortunately the last stop in Montepulciano was more rushed and I would have liked more time to explore. The wine tasting lasted a little longer than expected in this location, meaning the time to look around was reduced. Overall a good tour and lots of great wine to try and beautiful vistas of Val d’Orcia and medieval towns to see (Montalcino, Pienza & Montepulciano). It was well organised and the perfect choice for accessing these locations if you haven’t got a car. Tour is appropriate for solo, couples or group travel. Would recommend, but especially to get a feel of this part of Toscana :)!

The tour guide is experienced and I enjoyed the whole tour a lot. The itinerary was well planned, and I can see the tour guide's tremendous effort to make the whole tour best value of money. Such a compact agenda with two wine tasting sessions, and three town visits in Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano.

Fantastische Erfahrung, wunderschöne Landschaft. Roberto ist ein großartiger Führer mit schönen Geschichten, die mit Musik untermalt werden. Hätte gerne etwas mehr Zeit in jedem der Dörfer verbracht, aber ich schätze, es war ein enger Zeitplan, um alles unterzubringen.

Este é também um passeio muito agradável para Val d'Orcia. A viagem foi confortável, o itinerário foi bem planejado e conseguimos visitar os lugares que queríamos ver. Nosso guia foi gentil e educado, e fez o possível para tornar o passeio agradável para todos. O único pequeno problema foi que nosso grupo falava inglês, português e espanhol, então traduzir tudo para as três línguas parecia difícil. Acho que ele queria compartilhar mais informações, mas a mistura de idiomas tornou isso desafiador. Apesar disso, ainda foi uma ótima experiência, e eu recomendaria este passeio se você quiser visitar Val d'Orcia.

Beautiful scenery! The wine is good, we love being in the coach going to the 3 towns! Just a pity the last town we visited, Montepulciano, there was nothing else to do after the wine tasting session. Everything was closed, we can't even find a bar to get a coffee or use the washrooms. It seems like everyone from the bus was just waiting around in the cold at the pickup point for the coach to come.

The guide's explanations were very clear and excellent. I would appreciate it if there were also tours without wine tasting, to allow more time to explore each village. The wine tasting involved extensive talks from the winery staff and took up quite a bit of time. Honestly, I was eager to go and see the villages. It was fun to experience the Christmas market in Montepulciano, and my heart was cleansed by the lovely houses and neat church in Pienza, and the sunset view in Montalcino was very beautiful.

I chose this tour because I heard that the Val d'Orcia is not efficient to visit by public transport, and it also included a stop in Pienza. It was a bus tour with an English-speaking guide, and I was very satisfied as the guide's stories were enjoyable, and there was plenty of time for free exploration. In Pienza, in particular, I was able to eat pici at a cafe I wanted to visit. Also, the views of the Val d'Orcia from each hilltop town we visited were magnificent. However, I thought the explanations at each winery were a bit long (even though I enjoyed them). For a solo traveler, chartering a private taxi tour is too expensive, so I felt this bus tour offered excellent value for money.

It is recommended to arrive early for check-in. The check-in staff were friendly and efficient. After checking in, you will receive a sticker for identification. After boarding the bus at 8 AM, our guide Steven introduced today's itinerary in fluent English and Spanish. Along the way, he also introduced the landmarks of Florence we passed, making the tour very professional and engaging. The driver Paul was also very friendly, arrived on time, and the journey was smooth throughout. Both winery experiences were very worthwhile, and we also visited the cellars where wine barrels are stored. The owners thoughtfully introduced their wines to us, paired with cheese.
