It was a really enjoyable trip. You get to hike around an UNESCO certified rain forest and also have a chance to see lots of local wild life at their natural habitat. it was a slow day for us but in the end we manage to spot quite a few different species. Our guide, Mr Chong, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure that we have the highest chance of getting a glimpse of the endemic birds. If you like nature and enjoys bird watching, just go for it.

I found Klook's service to be extremely poor. Firstly, their response time averaged 2-3 hours per message, or they would simply ignore inquiries for days. Secondly, everyone must pay attention: this two-day, one-night bird-watching tour is not open to Hong Kong residents. When we initially booked, there was no clear indication that Hong Kong residents were ineligible, as this crucial detail was buried within a large block of tiny text. If you don't read every single line, it's very easy to fall into this trap! After we booked, when we asked customer service about accommodation, she only then informed us that Hong Kong travelers were not eligible. Prior to this, all our bookings and payments went smoothly, and even when they asked for our passport numbers, they didn't warn us about the ineligibility for Hong Kong travelers. When we found out and asked customer service what to do, she directly told me we had to cancel and that no refund would be given. We had paid over HKD 12,000 for 5 people. Later, I told her we wouldn't need accommodation and asked if we could still participate in the daytime activities. Initially, she said no, but after a few more inquiries, she finally agreed to ask the supplier. Fortunately, the supplier was very accommodating and allowed us to join the tour, even providing accommodation and meals. When I asked the Klook customer service why Hong Kong residents were ineligible, she refused to explain and simply ignored the question. In reality, Hong Kong travelers can participate; Klook, for some unknown reason, cunningly placed that misleading statement on the page. Furthermore, the day before the activity, Klook sent me an email with activity details and注意事项. I noticed that the meeting time was 6:00 AM, which was different from the initial 12:00 noon. When I asked customer service about this, I was again ignored. I had no choice but to email the supplier directly, who responded quickly, which finally put my mind at ease. Therefore, everyone must, must, must read every single word carefully and only make payment when you are absolutely sure there are no issues. If you have any questions, remember to ask customer service first (though their response time is indeed very slow). However, looking solely at the bird-watching tour itself, I was extremely satisfied. Our guide, Leo, was the soul of the entire bird-watching tour. He possessed extensive knowledge of birds, could even distinguish and mimic bird calls, and led us to discover many local endemic and rare bird species. Additionally, he was very humorous, bringing us much joy throughout the trip. Communication in English was perfectly fine, and he also spoke Mandarin and a little Cantonese. He also shared some important tips and customs for Sabah, making our journey even smoother. Many thanks to him!

We had an absolutely enchanting birdwatching tour on Mount Kinabalu with our kind and wonderful guide, Jensen. Patience is a virtue! Once we relaxed, the birds we were hoping to see flew right to us. It was a truly wonderful experience for our honeymoon, and we hope to return someday with our children. It was such a great trip!
