highly recommend! my daughter and husband loved their 1:1 surf lessons here. the instructors take it seriously and teach the proper forms. there is also life guard here specific for odyssey and was always helping my daughter. perfect place to learn surfing with. Want was my husband’s instructor and Ardy was my daughter’s instructor. both very good!

Booked for Semi Private lesson for my 11yrs old twin girls.It was their first ever experience learning how to surf.Instructor Blake and Yudi are awesome.They were patient with the girls.Instructions given were clear.Instructors practices safety awareness.Forthcoming in giving assistance and always helpful in giving good advice for the girls to improve.Always checking with the girls if they were alright.Equipments provided seemed well maintained.Looking forward to book 5days lesson with them on our next Bali vacay!

Both my child and I applied for 1:1 private lessons, and the instructors taught us very well. I'm a bit of a coward, so I couldn't stand up easily, but they were so patient, continuously pulling the surfboard out and helping me catch waves, to the point where I felt apologetic. My son, being athletic, stood up right on his second try. We are very satisfied with all the wonderful photos and videos. My child, who initially hesitated about taking surfing lessons, ended up enjoying it so much that his initial reluctance was forgotten. However, there was some time spent on procedures like confirmation, possibly due to a lack of smooth coordination between Klook and the local surf school. Also, I thought I could choose my desired time slot, but surfing lessons were only available twice a day, around 10 AM and 4 PM, due to safety reasons when the waves aren't too high. It would have been better if this had been announced in advance so we could have factored it into our travel plans. Since the times when the waves are low vary daily, I recommend confirming via WhatsApp the day before after booking through Klook.

Taking a surfing lesson with friends was so much fun, the whole process was full of joy! Thanks to the coach's patient guidance and professional explanations, we quickly grasped the basics and were able to stand up successfully on our first try, which felt incredibly rewarding.

A Japanese couple in their 50s, we each chose private lessons. The start time was 8 AM. A car came to pick us up at our Sanur hotel before 7 AM. We were given a locker with a key, so we could change at our leisure, and we bought water at a nearby convenience store. Our instructors were Made and Bima. Both of them spoke excellent Japanese. They thoroughly taught us how to stand up on the beach. Although the waves were a bit big that day, we went out to sea just after 8 AM. They were good at judging the waves and pushing our boards, so we were able to stand up quickly. They constantly asked, "Are you okay? Are you tired?" and encouraged us by singing Japanese songs. There was also an Odyssey-exclusive lifeguard on the beach side who helped us get back out to sea. And a photographer took about 100 photos of us. You can purchase them for 150K IDR back at the office. The instructors who are good at teaching, the lifeguards for safety, and the photography are all wonderful. There are many surf schools, but the quality here is completely different. We absolutely recommend it. We recommend installing WhatsApp in advance for communication.

We are a couple in our 50s, with broken English and out of shape, who decided to give this a try. We were initially drawn by the price and wondered if a cheaper English lesson would be okay, but choosing this option was absolutely the right decision. Thanks to the detailed corrections and explanations given in Japanese, my husband was able to succeed many times, and I also managed to succeed a few times. It was a truly enjoyable experience. We also had many photos taken, and received 150K for two people via AirDrop. We highly recommend it!

La escuela está ubicada en un hotel. El instructor es profesional y atento, y puede dar instrucciones claras. El fotógrafo también tomará fotos (con cargo adicional) de su sesión de surf. Las duchas y los vestuarios están limpios. La recogida en el hotel también está incluida.

We booked 5 private lesson. Head coach gave us briefing and we practise on shore abit before going down Trough-out the lesson we have private coach to help to guide us. Most of us able to stand on the board after 1.5 hours. 15 mins break in between. The school is located in mercure hotel Kuta so super convenient if you are staying there. Kuta beach has very fine sands and few rocks, so it’s no problem if you do not wear water shoes. We find the grip on the board is better without shoes

Odyssey was a fantastic place to do our beginner lesson. They have an indoor shop area with lockers, changing/shower rooms which makes for a pleasant experience. They also provided rashguards and towels (for after the lesson). Ti was our instructor and we managed to stand up on the board by the end of the lesson - fantastic feeling! There was also a 'lifeguard' that helped look out for all the students, and there was a photographer to catch all those moments, which they will send you via air drop for 150k/2 pax. Kuta waves were friendly for beginners and a good place to start. The instructors would also be in the sea to give you a push at the start to help propel you forward. All in all a great experience! (We wore prescription goggles which turned out to be a great idea - recommended for those with myopia! Wet shoes not strictly needed but useful as the beach can be a little rough at the swash zone.)
