Passeio de Dia Inteiro pela Natureza: Zoológico Asahiyama e Fazenda Tomita

The itinerary was great, and it's a good tour to visit everything, including the zoo, in one go. It was nice that we only had to keep track of the bus boarding times. There was a high proportion of Japanese tourists. The time at the zoo, including lunch, wasn't long, but since it wasn't crowded, we were able to enjoy everything. We also seemed to have a good rest and enjoyed ourselves at the Blue Pond and Farm Tomita. If it's summer, the ice cream sold on the way to the Blue Pond (menu item #1 recommended) will surely be memorable. Although Korean support is not available and English guidance isn't perfect, there were no inconveniences. On the way back, the bus stopped at three locations: Sapporo Station, Odori Park, and Susukino, which was convenient for evening travel.

It’s so important to arrange the transportation in Hokkaido if you are not driving. Joining this day trip is definitely worthy since you don’t have to worry about the transportation from Sapporo to Asahiyama and Biei. Although the tour guide spoke mainly Japanese, the instruction on waiting time was still very clear.

旭山動物園、青い池、ファーム富田の日帰りツアーは忘れられない経験でした。旭山動物園では、可愛らしいペンギンや冬の動物たち、そして彼らの自然な行動を間近で見ることができ、魅了されました。青い池の穏やかな美しさは、その印象的な青い色合いと絵のように美しい景色に私たちを畏敬の念にさせました。最後に、ファーム富田は、咲き誇る花々の鮮やかな畑で私たちの五感を喜ばせ、息をのむような風景を作り出しました。このツアーは、野生動物、自然の驚異、そして美しい景色を組み合わせたもので、すべての旅行者にとって素晴らしい経験となるでしょう。

The zoo would probably be more interesting during non-winter months, as many of the animals were in hiding. The penguin parade was short, but they were incredibly cute. Needless to say, the Shirahige Waterfall and Blue Pond were stunning at night. This trip is a must-do, especially since it didn't start until 10:30 AM, allowing us to sleep in longer 😀.

I enjoyed the time so much and it was worth it. The snow is very beautiful though it was so cold. The travel time was tiring but overall it was worth it!

The tour guide and bus driver who greeted us were both very friendly. After meeting and checking in at the hotel lobby, the guide reminded us that the journey would be long, so we could use the restroom and visit a convenience store to get snacks beforehand. There were both Japanese and foreign participants, but the guide's explanations were all in Japanese. Each time we got off the bus, the departure time was written on a small whiteboard. Overall, the trip was enjoyable because we visited the zoo, Shirogane Falls, and the illuminated Blue Pond all in one day. However, be prepared for a very long travel time, and the heating on the bus is strong, so remember to wear clothes that are easy to put on and take off.

Generally a well-organised day trip. Driver picked up us on time. The tour guide only speaks Japanese, but the gathering time was well written on a white board. If weather is good, you can even catch the sight of Hidaka Sanmyaku (snow mountains) on your left on the way to zoo. Time allocated at each destinations was OK. Might be a little rush at zoo if you planned to take your lunch there, but you can bring your own lunch or get them from the rest station where they stopped for a break. Arrived at Sapporo 1 hour ++ later than the estimated time, but it was probably due to weather. Overall it is still recommend if you only need the transportation to each destinations.

Pick-up from Anna Crown Hotel in Sapporo. Please note that there won't be signage so you need to figure it out and watch out for someone to come and start calling out names. The journey to the zoo is pretty far so you can't go on your own without bus/transport. Zoo if fantastic and the animals are so cute especially the penguins. I wish i could spend more time but have to make do with 3 hours. Then you will be brought to the blue lake - actually during winter the lake is frozen and it's not blue as it should be when it's not frozen. There will be lighting effect so overall it's nice. Please note that since it's dark - do be careful when walking on ice. Wear a snow spike - it will help for people who are not use to walking on ice. I saw a local Japanese fell just right beside me. They will bring you to the waterfall also but it's really nothing much cos it's just see look and take pic then go. Like 15 mins. The pathway to reach the waterfall is hilly - means it's rocky and uphill so it's not easy to walk and need to climb. so just take note. Overall, it's an eventful day - covering the zoo, the blue pond, the waterfall and one shopping area (say about 30 mins shopping) - try the ice cream there is very good.

A delightful day tour, with an easily accessible meeting point from our hotel. The bus was quite comfortable for the long journey. Asahiyama Zoo was great to visit, with many unusual animals we hadn't seen before. The Blue Pond was very beautiful, reached by walking through the snow.

Watching penguins at Asahiyama Zoo is fun. I think you definitely need to buy this package ticket, otherwise, transportation will be really difficult to manage.
