This is a great place to learn about Osaka's history, though it focuses mainly on the history from the Asuka period onwards, with relatively little mention of earlier periods. It's worth noting that there's an entire floor dedicated to archaeological excavation work, where both adults and children can learn about archaeology!

However, there are few places in the venue where photography is allowed, making it suitable for resting and sightseeing after visiting the nearby Tenshukaku. The historical and cultural information is very detailed, but the historical data is one-sided (which is normal, as museums in every country have similar issues). This museum offers an excellent experience, especially suitable for seniors, children, and those with limited physical stamina, as there are plenty of benches for resting. We highly recommend a visit.
