I'm not sure why they borrowed the idea of Columbus discovering the American continent, but it was great to take a refreshing spin around Osaka Port, enjoying the cool sea breeze and warm sunshine. The thrill of the USJ roller coaster visible in the distance was also a highlight. I think the success of this itinerary will depend on the weather. Unless it's a twilight cruise, the first departure at 11 AM seems ideal. There was a diverse distribution of passengers, including not only tourists but also local students on what appeared to be a school trip, local seniors on a tour, and foreign visitors.

It was a beautiful day at Osaka Bay for the Santa Maria cruise, and it was truly calming to see the surroundings of the bay.

The journey was an enjoyable one, especially on a sunny day! If you want a relaxing experience, you may consider going for it!

The 45-minute trip was worthwhile. The food was simple but lovely, and window seats were available if you arrived early enough!

It's right next to the Kaiyukan Aquarium, actually part of it. From the subway station, take the exit towards the Kaiyukan Aquarium. Once you exit the subway, you'll see the Tempozan Ferris Wheel; head in that direction to find the ticket exchange. The ship's design resembles a vessel from Columbus's Age of Discovery, with a retro, 16th-century feel. There's a concession stand inside where you can order food, but the deck is actually the best spot for photos. The cruise lasts approximately 45 minutes.

A must-do ride on an Osaka trip. If the boat had at least a few covered seating areas, it would be perfect with some welcome drinks, especially due to the high temperatures. I noticed many people didn't go to the upper deck.

Quite an interesting experience! A boring trip, a visually beautiful ship, but nothing else! There are no seats for all passengers, whoever managed to get in, sat down! For 40 minutes you will be taken for a ride near the aquarium and that's it! I do not recommend it! 😆😅🥲
