The tour was incredible. We paid for the full package, but only my group arrived. Our guides, Mick Watanabe and Michiko, were super friendly, kind, and amiable. Their English was amazing, and they even tried to speak a few words in Spanish. They recommended food to us, and the history of the temple was very comprehensive. I highly recommend this experience and hope future guests who book get Mick and Michiko as their guides.
Yoshi-san was an amazing tour guide and went above and beyond my expectations! She was able to teach me about the history of Senso-ji and answered all my questions. She was also extremely interested in learning more, as she would ask me questions about Hinduism to find connections with Buddhist ideals. After the trip ended, she asked me if there was anything else I was interested in and promptly gave me a list of things to do and places to see. I would highly recommend doing this tour with Yoshi-san!
Toshy was very friendly and informative. She made sure to explain everything and stopped for questions. The pace was leisurely and enjoyable. She also stopped and took pictures of us. I would recommend this tour for those interested in learning the history of Asakusa.
I enjoy the view of this scenery, especially in the morning before the mass crowds. Lucky enough to get a very small group.
