Coisas para fazer em Sensoji Temple

This was a cute activity. This is my last student summer so I’ve been trying to enjoy myself while still being productive finishing off a couple of projects (all that too say I’ve been stressfully-happily travelling) so this was a welcome calm and mindful moment. Sharpening then polishing the blade, choosing the wood for the handle and getting that engraved, and chatting with Alberto and Seia as they guided us was an enjoyable first workshop for me. We’re also very happy to have the knives as a souvenir. Also full disclosure I was told my engraving would be free with a review.

Mi prometida y yo queríamos un recuerdo especial para llevar a casa, ¡y este fue definitivamente el indicado! Todo el proceso fue sencillo y explicado de una manera fácil de entender. ¡Héctor fue nuestro instructor y era extremadamente conocedor, amable y acogedor! ¡Definitivamente recomiendo venir aquí!

Rei and Koto are excellent guides! They were both very informative and nice. Rei had a really captivating smile, so our group kept smiling the whole time. Their English is amazing too. They taught us what to do inside the temple, helped us take pictures, and even recommended hidden gems around the Asakusa area that we tried the next day. Thank you, Rei and Koto!

It was a great experience. The staff is very friendly. There are many options to choose from. I would recommend this shop and do it again.

Tried this with my mom and had so much fun! Erika was very helpful and also provided great insights during the process. Also enjoyed watching the engraving.

¡Me lo pasé de maravilla haciendo mis palillos! El personal fue muy amable, conocedor y servicial. Se tomaron el tiempo para asegurarse de que cada individuo se sintiera valorado y comprendido. Me encantaría agradecer a todo el personal, ya que cada uno me ayudó en cada paso del proceso. Estoy muy feliz de llevarme a casa una pieza de arte útil. ¡Definitivamente creo que esto es algo que todos deberían probar!

We had a great time! The female instructor was excellent in English, very engaging, warm, and welcoming. She was a really good teacher and great to chat with. She even recommended a local ramen shop for us to try. The ingredients were fresh and tasted amazing! ✨ Especially the squid nigiri that we made. The only downside was that the place was hard to find because they have such a small sign, so it took us a while to locate it, but overall we had a great experience.

Today, I explored Shinjuku with three tour guides: Kotoha, Rie, and Mai. All three guides spoke excellent English and introduced us to many delicious foods and drinks. They also shared the wonderful history and sights of Asakusa. If we had come by ourselves, we would have rushed through and missed so much. Plus, the guides took amazing photos! For friends tired of ugly photos taken by their boyfriends or husbands, you really must come. Japanese female guides are truly skilled at photography, highly recommended!
