The highlight of my entire trip to Vietnam!I booked a food tour in the Hanoi, and it blew me away. My guide, Hai, met us right at our hotel and instantly made us feel welcome. Instead of taking me to generic tourist traps, he led us down tiny, buzzing alleyways where locals sit on little plastic stools. I tried around 8 to 10 different dishes, and every single stop was a winner! Hai didn't just feed us-he shared incredible stories about Hanoi streets, family recipes, and local culture. If you are worried about street food hygiene or not knowing what to order, a guided tour takes all the guesswork out of it. Come hungry, wear comfortable walking shoes, and book this on your first day in the city!

We booked this food tour last minute, but happy we did! Our tour guide was Mac and he did a great job! He was friendly and spoke to our group to get to know us. The food spots he took us to were great! We had a few Bun Cha and Banh Mi's across Ha Noi and the (2) locations he took us to were the best! Lastly, he took us to the famous train street, where we got drinks and sat right beside the train! Thanks Mac!

我和我丈夫参加了老城区的美食徒步之旅，弗洛拉是我们的导游，他是个风趣幽默的人，英语说得非常流利（带着英式口音😁）！我们喜欢所有的美食，我们最喜欢的是烤肉米线和干拌河粉，太棒了！我们吃了烤肉米线、鸡蛋咖啡、两种河粉（卷粉和干拌粉）、法棍面包，最后是椰子冰淇淋配糯米饭甜点！之后我们去了火车街。很棒的体验！

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This experience is a must, especially for anyone just arriving in Hanoi! It’s the perfect introduction to the local food culture and the dishes loved by the people here. We chose the option that included Train Street so we could explore it with a guide, but you can also choose just the food tour if you prefer. A big shoutout to our guide, Oliver — he made the tour truly unforgettable! He was very informative and helpful, always taking the time to explain each dish and share the story behind it. Thanks to him, we didn’t just eat the food, we understood it. Two thumbs up for Oliver and this amazing experience!

To say we enjoyed this tour would be an understatement. We originally booked the 2 PM tour, but arrived early and were kindly accommodated after just a 20-minute wait. We also underestimated Hanoi’s heat, but our guide, Lucy, kept us so engaged that we barely noticed. It felt less like a formal tour and more like exploring the city with a local friend. You could probably visit the same food spots on your own, but what made this experience worth every penny was Lucy. She shared the stories behind each dish, local traditions, and even taught us a few Vietnamese terms, making the experience far more meaningful. The food was fantastic, with generous portions and authentic local favorites we would never have found on our own. Out of everything we did during our 7-day Vietnam trip, this was one of our favorite experiences. What stayed with us most was not just the food but the warmth of the people, from Lucy to the vendors at each stop, and Dummy the cat. If you can, ask for Lucy!

Tuvimos una experiencia fantástica con el recorrido gastronómico a pie. Chris fue un guía increíble: muy informado, amable y realmente fue más allá de solo mostrarnos lugares para comer. Compartió historias, conocimientos locales e hizo que todo el recorrido fuera divertido y memorable. Cada parada valió la pena. ¡Altamente recomendado!

We did the 4pm private walking food tour with train visit on our first day in Hanoi. Highly recommend this if it’s your first time in Hanoi like us. The tour was a really good introduction to authentic Vietnamese cuisine. To my surprise, I actually like every dish served. However, for me, the egg coffee is good to try once! Haha. We were also lucky cos we saw the train passed twice on both sides (left and right). It was a wonder experience. We asked our guide to leave us at the Hoan Kiem Lake as our last stop so we can explore and wander on our own. Overall, I’d highly recommend this tour for first timers! Bonus: Tour guide will help and teach you how to cross the busy streets of Hanoi.

Tim de Crossing Vietnam Tour a été INCROYABLE ! Demandez-le si vous le pouvez ! J'étais le seul participant à la visite gastronomique de 18h, j'ai donc eu la chance d'avoir un tête-à-tête avec Tim. Il était comme Anthony Bourdain faisant une visite gastronomique avec moi dans les rues du Vieux Quartier ! Il est superviseur et ne fait pas de visites guidées, mais comme il pleuvait, les guides touristiques m'ont annulé, alors il a fait la putain de visite lui-même ! Il a eu la gentillesse de me laisser monter sur son scooter pour faire la visite ! Chaque plat local que j'ai essayé a été sélectionné par lui - du Banh Mi et du Pho sec, des rouleaux de riz cuits à la vapeur de la vieille dame, de la soupe de nouilles au poisson dans une ruelle, et des desserts comme l'avocat, le durian et la glace à la noix de coco avec du riz gluant, de la glace au yaourt aussi et du café aux œufs ! Après la visite et pour terminer la soirée, il a même fait un détour pour boire une bière avec moi dans son pub local préféré le long d'un trottoir ! Nous avons eu des saveurs encore plus folles - des intestins de porc, du poisson séché et bien plus encore ! La bière pression légère de Hanoï fraîche était aussi INCROYABLEMENT PARFAITE ! Nous nous sommes séparés vers 2h du matin - c'était INCROYABLE ! NOTE DE 100⭐️ pour TIM !
