Workshop de trançado Kumihimo em um ateliê tradicional em Kyoto

Sehr schöne, meditative und informative Erfahrung. Ich war alleine dort und habe es sehr genossen. Ich wurde sehr gut unterrichtet und hatte eine großartige Gastfreundschaft. Würde es definitiv eines Tages wieder mit Freunden machen! Ich würde nur vorschlagen, dass das Farbmuster vom Kunden ausgewählt wird, damit sie von Anfang an alles vollständig erleben können.

Awesome experience! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and left feeling like we had learned a lot. Both coordinators were very knowledgeable and made us feel so welcome. Would absolutely recommend!

Excellent experience! The staff was very friendly and informative. The experience started with a brief history of the craft. Then we started making our own. Our instructor guided us through the whole process, and once you got the rhythm, it was easy to just relax and braid. Once we had made the right finish, we were given tea and treats while they added the final touches.

What a wonderful experience! Andre was our instructor - he first walked us through the history of kumihimo braiding using the mini museum on the second floor of the building. Afterwards, he took us downstairs and taught us the process of braiding. It’s easy once you pick up the pattern, and I entered a near meditative state once I did. I ended up weaving the length of a bracelet, which then the staff worked on attaching the links while we sat down and enjoyed tea and sugar treats while enjoying the atmosphere of the inner garden. Overall, a very enjoyable and calm activity where you come away with a new skill and respect for what goes into these garments/braids. The location wasn't hard to find, and as of writing this review they’re a relatively new branch (only 3 months new). Their main branch is in Tokyo, and you’ve most likely seen footage from there on Instagram. Book today!
