Tóquio: Aula Particular de Caligrafia em Sala Japonesa em Shibuya

It was a fantastic experience! After days of sightseeing and walking around Tokyo, dedicating an hour to learn about Japanese calligraphy, its history, techniques, and how to do it properly was a really wonderful moment. Our guide explained everything really well, she was encouraging us to practice, helping us with the complicated parts, and you get to bring back home your own writing as a great souvenir you did yourself! I really recommend this experience to everybody who is around, you won't regret it.

Una de las mejores experiencias en Tokio. Ambiente muy tranquilo y relajante, el tutor tenía muchos conocimientos no solo sobre caligrafía, sino también sobre Japón en general. Creó una atmósfera muy relajada y agradable.

A wonderful session - it was just us (so nice and private) and we had an amazing instructor called Honoki who was very informative and spoke fluent English! It was one hour which was sufficient to learn the basics of kanji, hiragana and katakana.

Must try calligraphy experience in Japan. Right from the beginning, our Sensei Sowa was very welcoming, introduced the history of calligraphy, did few practice on the techniques and finally did our masterpiece. Apart from the calligraphy itself, Sowa was open to have conversations on the associated Japanese culture and beyond. After this, we have bought our calligraphy kit and will be doing more of this at home.

Moe was an incredible teacher. We had a really good time learning how to do Shodo (calligraphy), and we're very happy with what we've written. Arigatō Moe!

¡Me encantó este curso de caligrafía! El instructor Soto desglosó los trazos complejos en pasos sencillos, haciéndolo accesible incluso para un principiante total. Es increíblemente terapéutico y salí con una hermosa nueva habilidad. ¡Altamente recomendado!

The teacher was excellent and had a ton of English. There were four of us from three different generations, and we all had fun. Perfect length. The teacher even showed up early so we could start early. Plus you get to come home with an easily packable souvenir. Heads up, the building is easy to find but there is no sign outside the building we could find. It's on the seventh floor at the end of the hallway.

The Ozaki building was easy to find, and the calligraphy teacher picked us up punctually at the entrance. The teacher, Taku, was very friendly and patiently taught us Kanji writing. It was a fun experience and something that will remain in our memories. Finally, we wrote on special paper that we were allowed to take home. Overall, we found the workshop to be very familiar and Taku treated us in a friendly manner. Thank you.

We had a lesson with Taku and thoroughly enjoyed it! Taku was a great and patient teacher, and super knowledgeable about the practice. And overall, a very enjoyable person to be around. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick cultural lesson and experience that they can take home and show to their friends!
