This tour was led by Frank Wang Ping, a very attentive guide who looked after everyone and checked on their well-being. Our first stop was the Tango Sea Train. This is a rural area with a serene atmosphere. The train only travels over the sea for 28 seconds, so the guide urged us to quickly record videos and take photos. The next stop was Amanohashidate for a cable car ride. The single-person cable car was quite fun and a unique experience. Once at the top, there were additional facilities available for an extra fee. The view looking down was absolutely breathtaking! Next, we arrived at Ine Funaya, where most residents make a living from fishing. Boats are docked on the first floor, and the second floor is used for living quarters. After exploring for a bit, we took a boat to feed the seagulls, which was a bit scary but a very special experience.

At the Amanohashidate viewpoint, you taught us to bend over and look at the world upside down through our legs. The white sands and green pines, originally lying serenely in the blue sea, instantly transformed into a bridge leading to the sky. In front of the Chion-ji Temple’s Wheel of Wisdom lanterns, you eloquently recounted the century-old bond between the stone lanterns and ship anchors; as we walked across the revolving bridge, just as a ship passed, the bridge slowly rotated like an unfolding fan. Your precisely calculated stopping time allowed our cameras to capture the spectacular sight of land and sea connecting. At noon, the Ine Funaya boathouses were even more breathtaking than Venice. Two hundred and thirty wooden buildings lining the bay formed a graceful arc. You led us to push open the wooden lattice windows of “Funaya Biyori,” and over the aroma of coffee, you shared stories of the fishermen’s wisdom in coexisting with the sea. When the sightseeing boat glided across the emerald-colored sea, flocks of seagulls chased after the stern, and the shrimp-flavored snacks you promptly handed out filled our palms with wings—that was a surprise you specially prepared. Throughout the trip, your watch seemed to contain an invisible hourglass; every transition between attractions was as precise as a Swiss movement. During the breaks in the journey, as you recounted historical anecdotes in both languages, beads of sweat appeared on your forehead, yet your pronunciation remained impeccable. When a group member accidentally left a sun hat on the sightseeing boat, it was your figure, having noted the seat number in advance and jogging back to retrieve it, that was more touching than any scenery. As we parted, the setting sun was gilding the cluster of boathouses. Your bowing posture in the twilight reminded us of the stone lantern at Chion-ji Temple that forever illuminates the shipping route. It turns out that a true guide is never just an itinerary planner, but a magician who can elevate an ordinary journey into poetry. Harry ile bu kuzey kıyı macerasında harika bir gün geçirdik. Harry harika bir rehber, arkadaş canlısı, ulaşılabilir ve çok dikkatli. It's a great one-day tour. Thanks to our guide, Ms. Bunny, who was very good at leading us. She's fluent in Chinese and English, and also took good care of me since I was traveling solo. At Amanohashidate, I rode the chairlift and the view was amazing. Then we took the boat at Ine, and the seagull experience was really good. Overall, it's a wonderful journey, and please don't hesitate to book one; I really recommend it.

I've been on a few "mixed language" tours, but ChaCha did a great job of actually switching between Chinese and English very well. I never felt like I was missing anything. She always seemed happy about bringing us to where we are going. I'm glad to have gone on this trip, because there's no way I would have been able go to Kyoto by the Sea without the tour. It is quite a packed itinerary.

We took part in the tour and had a very entertaining time overall. The tour was well organized and we got to see many exciting places. We were particularly impressed by the seagull feeding, a truly great experience! The train ride was also a highlight. Traveling over the sea was simply fantastic and something we won't soon forget. Despite the bad weather, our tour guide Even led us wonderfully through the day. She explained a lot, was attentive, and accompanied us safely. Overall, it was a beautiful and worthwhile tour!

Shuya was a very efficient guide both in English and Chinese. Her instructions were clear as to the meeting point and time. She even sent messages via WhatsApp to remind us of our departure. Overall a very nice experience! The train ride saved us an hour so we arrived an hour earlier in Amanohashidate before most of the other tourists. The chairlift was great. Ine Village and the boat ride along Ine Bay were also great. It was a very fun-filled day 😊
