This 3-day, 2-night Kaohsiung cruise trip made me completely fall in love with sea vacations! Booking through Klook was super easy, the itinerary information was clear at a glance, and order confirmation was incredibly fast, leaving me completely worry-free before the trip! Trip Highlights: 1. Stunning Balcony Cabin Experience: I specifically chose a balcony cabin this time, and it was truly the soul of the entire journey! Every morning, I'd slide open the glass door, stand on my private balcony to greet the sea breeze, and take in the panoramic ocean view. The photos I took looked like postcards! The room itself was spacious and comfortable, the bed was soft, and there was a thoughtful mini-bar, making for a super enjoyable stay. Watching the stars from the balcony at night was incredibly romantic! 2. Abundant Cruise Facilities: The ship's infinity pool and leisure deck made me never want to disembark! The gym, spa, and bars were all high-quality, and the evening themed performances (like jazz bands and magic shows) had a fantastic atmosphere; I always enjoyed them so much I didn't want them to end. 3. Perfect Dining: The buffet restaurant offered a diverse selection, from Taiwanese braised pork rice and sushi to pasta, and the fresh and delicious seafood platter was a particular highlight! The lobster set meal at the themed restaurant was even more amazing, and the service staff were incredibly friendly. 4. Free Exploration of Kaohsiung: The shore excursion in Kaohsiung offered great flexibility. I cycled in Cijin, enjoyed the night view by the Love River, and even unexpectedly discovered local night market delicacies! Although there was no tour guide, the maps and suggested itineraries provided by Klook were very useful, so I wasn't afraid of getting lost at all. Small Suggestions: • During popular times (like sunrise or sunset), the deck outside the balcony cabins can get a bit crowded, so it's advisable to find a spot early for photos. • It would be even more convenient for independent travelers if the transportation information for shore excursion attractions could be more comprehensive. In summary, this cruise trip allowed me to experience the perfect balance of luxury and freedom, especially with the balcony cabin elevating the entire experience! The arrangements for boarding and disembarking were very good, with crowd control, and waiting in an air-conditioned area wasn't too uncomfortable. There wasn't a long wait, perhaps they learned from the previous experience. Experience: The staff on the ship were very enthusiastic and friendly, encouraging you to dance and play with them, which was a lot of fun. It was my first time participating in a karaoke competition, and I won a prize; the atmosphere was great. Dining Experience: The buffet at the Lido Restaurant was good, but it was a bit inconvenient for me dining alone. The Sophia Restaurant had a great ambiance, perfect for a solo diner, and the food presentation was beautiful and tasted good – excellent for photos. I only had breakfast once at the other Chinese restaurant, and it was also good. Accommodation: I booked very late this time, so I could only get an inside cabin. The space was larger than I expected, and the room attendants were very responsible, which was good. Onboard Activities: I originally wanted to see the magic show, but then I saw a very beautiful sunset magic moment and was captivated by it. Entertainment Options: The magic show and acrobatics show on the ship were both very entertaining, funny, and exciting.

Overall a good experience. Lots of food and activities to do on board. The entertainment was top notch and the performers are really some of the best I have seen. The only downside was the housekeeping wasn’t the best in terms of cleaning and the fresh towels had a damp smell to them. I assume that’s because of it being an older ship. The other issue is during the peak dining hours you may need to queue for up to 30 minutes. I would still recommend going on this cruise anyway as it’s a good experience at a reasonable price.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and there were plenty of activities on board. Remember to bring both your swimsuit and sports shoes. I had brunch at the Lido Restaurant buffet, which offered delicious food, great views, and comfortable seating. For two evenings, I enjoyed dinner at the North Star Restaurant, where the traditional Chinese soup and exquisite small dishes were very satisfying.

The inspiration for writing this reflection comes directly from our recently completed 4-day, 3-night Penghu trip. The journey began from Tsim Sha Tsui Ocean Terminal in Hong Kong, and as the evening lights twinkled, the excitement of departure filled us with anticipation for Kaohsiung and Penghu ahead. This exclusive new itinerary for spring 2026 cleverly blends the cultural vibrancy of a city with the natural tranquility of an outlying island. We were fortunate to book a sea-view stateroom at a 55% discount. The space for two was very comfortable, and our room, located between the 9th and 11th decks, offered expansive views. We could watch the sunrise over the sea in the morning and a sky full of stars at night. The dining options on board were abundant. We made it a habit to secure a window seat at the Lido Buffet Restaurant to enjoy breakfast with a sea view. Each evening, we alternated between the Polaris Restaurant for Chinese cuisine and the Sophia Restaurant for a romantic Western dinner, with every meal feeling fresh and new. We made full use of the ship's facilities – we watched a spectacular magic show at the Constellation Theater and even mustered the courage to try the zip line on the deck, the feeling of 'flying' against the sea breeze was unforgettable. The most appealing aspect of the cruise was the shore excursions. The cruise strategically arrived in Kaohsiung at noon and departed at 10:30 PM, allowing us ample time to leisurely explore this vibrant port city. We strolled along the beautifully lit Love River, visited the Pier-2 Art Center to soak in its artistic atmosphere, and in the evening, we went to a bustling night market to savor authentic Taiwanese snacks and experience the rich local hospitality. Early the next morning, the cruise sailed into Penghu, offering a completely different charm. Arriving at the port at 9:00 AM and departing at 4:00 PM, we had a full day to explore this 'Pearl of the Sea.' We rented bicycles and cycled along the coastline in search of the magnificent basalt columns, and enjoyed lunch in a traditional fishing village. The freshly caught seafood in any small eatery there was incredibly delicious. After three nights of meticulously planned cruising, the ship finally sailed back to Hong Kong at 11:00 AM on Wednesday. Looking back at this sea vacation, the convenience of a cruise far surpassed the hustle of flying and changing hotels. Especially with Kaohsiung and Penghu this time – one a vibrant port city, the other a picturesque, tranquil island – waking up each day to a new experience. For couples who want to enjoy time together without the hassle of complex travel arrangements, this itinerary is absolutely the perfect choice.

A leisure experience, it seems not to be peak season in mid-April, the ship was not full. Easy access to restaurants and the theatre. Friendly staff.

Onboard activities: If you plan to do the zip line, remember to bring trousers and sports shoes. The pool is quite small. Experience: Excellent, suitable for families. Entertainment options: The shows are great and very exciting! Especially Yimo's performance, I'd want to watch it again. Dining experience: Sophia's is the best food, I recommend going a bit early to queue as it fills up quickly. Accommodation: You won't regret choosing a balcony room, it's very chill, but small insects might fly in. Also, the hairdryer is very old; it stops working after less than 5 minutes! There are 2 USB charging ports, but they charge very, very slowly.

體驗：船上娛樂及餐飲豐富，適合一家大細。到廈門上落船安排暢順，抵港下船安排亦很好。唯在香港上船時等候時間長，等候地點太細，而且房間偏窄，其他一切都很滿意。
