Passeio noturno pelo rio Jinjiang em Chengdu

The cruise was a delightful ride through all the illuminated areas in the river passage. The highlight was the illuminated Anshun Bridge, and the boat stayed there for a few minutes, allowing us to take plenty of photos of the beautifully lit bridge. The only slight delay was that the Dongmen Wharf attendant had to repurchase the tickets using the Klook voucher I showed him, which took about 10 minutes of waiting, but it wasn't a big deal. It was wonderful to see part of the colorfully lit Chengdu city.

Chengdu never fails to amaze visitors with its stunning night views! A night cruise on the Jinjiang River is an absolute must-do. Gliding through the brilliant lights, you’ll feel like you’ve instantly traveled back to ancient Rongcheng, with the perfect atmosphere all around. The night scenery along the river is breathtakingly beautiful. The lights shimmer on the water, painting a picturesque scene at every turn. Along the way, you can enjoy fun interactions with ancient-style NPCs such as Du Fu and Xue Tao, immersing yourself in Chengdu’s poetic culture — it’s fun and great for photos. The best part? You can board directly by scanning the KLOOK QR code, no long queues needed. The whole experience is smooth and hassle-free.

A relaxing slow cruise along JinJiang River. Night view is very pretty. We have to remain seated all the time and hence photo opportunity is limited. We chose to embark at Music Plaza Wharf and the lively nightlife along the pier is worth a visit. But the highlight for us was actually a very friendly cat probably kept by the boatman at the pier.

The time we booked coincided with China's May Day holiday, so there were too many people queuing. We would have had to wait for over an hour, so we gave up. It's recommended to choose the boat trip on a non-holiday or decide whether to buy tickets after seeing the queue at the site. Although we wasted a ticket, the riverside scenery was beautiful, and we still took many lovely photos.

It was easy to find the boarding point and redeem using the QR code. There are various boats and it’s well organised as they leave on a regular basis. The ride is quite short, stopping off at two other wharfs before heading back, but a lovely way to enjoy the lights and bridges.

I rode it while it was still a bit bright, so the lights weren't emphasized. I think it would have been more beautiful if I had ridden it after it got darker.

We waited quite a while before the boat started moving, so there's no need to arrive super early. I think you can get there around 7 PM at the earliest, though this might depend on the sunset time. We had a good view of An Shun Bridge, but the boat ride itself wasn't anything fantastic.
