Templo de Uluwatu e Excursão de um Dia a Kecak Uluwatu

The guide picked me up exactly on time. It felt strange to have a Japanese-speaking guide, as I usually have English-speaking ones. And today's tour was just for me! The roads were clear, and on the way, we stopped at a shop where I could try civet coffee. It was my first time having civet coffee, and it was quite strong! Afterward, we went to Uluwatu Temple. Even though it was a weekday, the parking lot was full and crowded. I was told absolutely not to wear sunglasses as the monkeys would take them, so I left them in the car. The sunset was beautiful. The guide worked hard to explain the temple. The Kecak dance was a solo viewing experience for me, but it was very close and powerful. However, waiting in the open-air venue at that time of day, the setting sun was so hot that I was exhausted. Some people were still entering even after the scheduled time, and the stairs were packed, probably 150% full. The sunset and fire were incredibly beautiful, and I enjoyed the dance, which even involved the audience at one point. The drive back was heavily congested. When asked if I wanted to stop for food or souvenirs, I chose souvenirs. The mountain roads in Bali made even me, who usually doesn't get car sick, feel a little queasy, so eating was out of the question. Sorry about that. The souvenir shop we stopped at had prices more than half off what I'd seen in Ubud, which made me realize those were probably the original prices. It was so cheap I even checked the prices. It was truly so much fun. Thank you for worrying about things like whether I'd forgotten anything, or about the monkeys, just like a father would! I really didn't see anyone irritated among the Indonesian people; they are so incredibly kind. They genuinely helped me when I was in trouble. In fact, they even personally arranged my airport transfer the next day. I was a little worried if they would really come, but they arrived and waited even before the meeting time. I'm truly grateful. They were such a trustworthy guide that I'd definitely want them to guide me again when I come back to Bali! My deepest thanks, more than words can express.

Amazing tour and top-tier guiding! If you're visiting Bali, this Klook tour is a must-do. The Kecak dance against the sunset backdrop at Uluwatu Temple is spectacular. I think the itinerary is fine, but it would be great if you could contact us a little earlier. Otherwise, I really wouldn't know if my booking was successful. I believe Melasti Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen in Bali, and I highly recommend visiting it! Uluwatu Temple was a bit boring, to be honest; it was full of monkeys, and I was very worried they would snatch my glasses and hat. Indeed, I saw cases of hats and glasses being stolen along the way, which was quite frightening! The Kecak fire dance show is very localized and truly reflects the local culture, but I must say, if you're not interested in local culture, definitely don't go. Otherwise, you might not be able to immerse yourself at all and feel very uncomfortable! However, I personally thought it was quite good, especially the monkeys' performance, which was very enthusiastic!

We had a great experience at Uluwatu Temple and the Kecak Fire Dance. Our guide, Made, was very friendly and helpful. He even lined up for our tickets while we explored the temple, which made everything more convenient for us. He also shared stories about his life and Bali, and he could communicate well in English. The sunset view was beautiful, and the Kecak Dance was a unique experience. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable tour. Highly recommended.

Our Guide/Ketut Karya has been great and fantastic. Ketut is patient and calm even on long ride. Kind and easy to communicate on whatsapp or in-person. Very helpful during the tour. We booked Uluwatu Temple with Kecak Dance tour. Timing is perfect with pickup of 2pm (Ubud) and arriving at 4:30pm. Perfect for afternoon-sunset view at the temple. Kecak dance is really great and fun to watch. We watched the session1 (6pm) with just right amount of sunlight. Witnessing and experiencing Uluwatu is a must when travelling to Bali. I traveled with Bello as my guide. It was a small group tour with a total of 4 guests, which made the trip much smoother. I highly recommend this itinerary: Padang Padang Beach, Suluban Beach, Uluwatu Temple, and the Kecak Dance. At the beaches, we each had free time to relax, and at Uluwatu Temple, Bello the guide protected us from the monkeys. He also diligently took photos for us and provided excellent explanations.

The fire dance was a sight to behold, especially with the sunset behind. We were booked on the first show at 6pm which was better than the 7pm one as it was still bright when the show started. Oka was my guide and driver and he made sure we were well taken care of, including protecting us from the monkeys!
