I joined this bike tour during a free day in Shanghai, and it exceeded all my expectations. We explored the French Concession, beautiful parks, and local spots I would never have found on my own. A highlight was unexpectedly coming across an outdoor pop-up exhibition by Maison Margiela—we just happened to pass by, which made the experience feel even more special and spontaneous. Riding through the city gave me a unique perspective, and everything felt thoughtfully planned. It was absolutely worth it, and I highly recommend this tour. Ending the tour with a jasmine-infused coffee and a croissant was unforgettable—such a perfect final touch. Special thanks to Victor, my amazing guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience even better.

Our guide Ellen is so helpful and kind. The tour took us to many different places around Shanghai. It’s a really good idea to start your journey in Shanghai if it’s your first time. After the tour, we can make our other plans based on where we visited during the tour. Also, the bicycles are good and comfortable. I would like to try another tour next time. Thank you for taking us! Even though it rained a bit, it was good to cool down.

Super sachkundiger und angenehmer Reiseführer. Die Stopps fühlten sich etwas repetitiv an – ich hätte gerne mehr Zeit am Tempel, mehr Essen probiert, mehr Kunst gesehen und eine Runde durch einen Park gedreht.

Today we had the pleasure of a guided bike tour with Ellen from China Cycle Tours. It was a great experience with a very English-speaking guide who led us through the beautiful centuries of Shanghai. In May, our daughter was in Shanghai with her school and had the same pleasure of a bike tour guided by Ellen. So, if you are traveling with a small (family) or larger group, Ellen is there to give you the best guided experience on a bike.

Ellen was a fantastic guide, it was just me and my partner on the day of the tour and she took us around the French Quarter, Bund and more during our tour! The chaotic nature of Shanghai was tamed with Ellen leading us across the city. We stopped at several points to walk around areas of the city, getting to know more about the area, history, and more. In her local neighborhood Ellen was well known, and was greeted by many locals positively. A great start to the tour!

A fantastic way to see Shanghai, my guide Alyssa was amazing, she was so nice and so knowledgeable. An easy ride so was very pleasant, didn’t feel strenuous.
