Visiting the Capuchin Crypt in Rome is a deeply moving and thought-provoking experience. In the narrow passages, the walls are adorned with patterns and decorations made from the bones of friars, creating a solemn and serene atmosphere. While it might seem a bit eerie at first, a closer look reveals a profound reverence for life and faith. This is not merely a crypt; it's more like an artistic space that reminds people to cherish the present and contemplate the meaning of life and death, leaving visitors with a sense of peace and respect.

Tickets need to be exchanged in advance. The lady at the visitor center gave very professional directions, and the city map was a thoughtful touch. I really enjoyed this exhibition; the audio guide was very pleasant to listen to. The catacombs weren't scary at all; in fact, seeing them in person was simply breathtaking. Highly recommended!

I expected the crypt to be underground, comparable to the Paris Catacombs, but they were not. The crypt itself was the best part, as it is a very impressive and artistic display of bones. The museum introduction was okay, but to me, there was too much emphasis on the monks/friars/priests rather than on whom they serve until the very end of the audio tour. The story itself felt like a conversation rather than a lecture, so that was lovely. The instructions were not clear regarding the timing of the tour itself. I had a noon booking and checked in per instructions, only to learn the crypt was closed for lunch until 2:30. Had I planned another tour, this would have proven challenging. Klook should provide better communication.

I bought a scenic spot pass that was non-refundable. I accidentally selected the wrong date due to my own mistake. I immediately asked customer service if it could be changed, but the system couldn't help, so I had to buy another ticket. Therefore, I didn't even get to use this experience, yet I have to give a review. I can only give 3 stars for the empathy shown by customer service in offering compensation, but in reality, I still felt helpless and ended up spending more money.

Don't buy this ticket at Klook! You have to go to a tourist office far away to redeem the ticket, and then to the crypt. You can buy tickets directly at the crypt, there are no queues whatsoever.

A Cripta dos Capuchinhos é uma obra-prima barroca notável, diferente de qualquer outra coisa na cidade. No interior, um longo corredor leva a cinco capelas, cada uma adornada com os ossos de quase 4.000 frades dos séculos XVI ao XIX. Esses ossos são artisticamente dispostos para formar rosetas, pilastras, estrelas e até lustres e cruzes. Ao explorar, você encontrará milhares de ossos — tíbias, fêmures e crânios — usados para criar nichos e detalhes arquitetônicos, com esqueletos vestidos com hábitos de frades descansando no interior. Cada capela é nomeada de acordo com os tipos de ossos usados em seu design e contém terra sagrada que se acredita ter origem na Palestina ou em Jerusalém!
