Arima Onsen Taikounoyu Spa

I had a wonderful experience in this onsen, so relaxing and very convenient. However, I forgot my black wrist watch (Sophie Martin) in the locker that I used in no. 2201. How can I claim it back? A delightful experience! Redemption was simple; just show the QR code to the staff at the front desk, and she will assist you. The explanation was thorough, allowing us to easily and leisurely enjoy the facilities at Taiko-no-Yu. The hot spring ♨️👍🏻 was great, the environment was comfortable, clean, and hygienic. We enjoyed the pre-purchased sukiyaki set meal at the restaurant, which was plentiful! There's also a food court offering various dishes with ample seating. Coinciding with Christmas, there was a music performance, creating a wonderful atmosphere! There are also rest areas and shops. Any purchases made inside can be paid for by simply scanning the barcode on your wristband, and you only pay once when leaving Taiko-no-Yu, which is very convenient! We will definitely visit this hot spring ♨️ again next time!

The best part is that you can purchase the ticket from Klook at the entrance to save money. The hot pot is also available as a recommended package with the restaurant.

My visit to Arima Onsen was a very comfortable and convenient experience overall. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, and you'll receive an e-ticket immediately after ordering, avoiding queues and at a lower price than buying on-site, which is a great benefit for travelers. Upon entry, you'll get your own locker and a personal card number. All purchases for meals, souvenirs, or additional services within the facility are made by scanning this card, and you settle the bill all at once when you leave. The process is very smooth. After receiving your card, you can head to the clothing area to choose a yukata in your preferred color. Once changed, you go downstairs to wash and enjoy the hot springs. There are both indoor and outdoor hot springs; the outdoor one is particularly relaxing and comfortable. After soaking in the hot springs, there's also a lounge area with sofas where you can lie down, rest, or even take a nap. You can also read the manga provided by the facility. The entire space is very relaxing, and it feels like you could easily spend the whole day there. Additionally, you can pay to experience fish therapy, bedrock baths, massages, or dine inside, offering many choices. Regarding transportation, you can take a bus from Kobe city center. The last bus from Arima Onsen back to the city center is at 6:00 PM, with buses running approximately every 30 minutes. Remember to keep track of the time. If your itinerary isn't rushed, I highly recommend setting aside time to visit Arima Onsen and truly relax.

If you definitely want to experience both the Gold and Silver baths, this is the place. The free shuttle bus right in front of the station makes transportation convenient. Some people say the baths are small for the size of the facility, but I didn't feel that way. The open-air bath was very satisfying. Perhaps because many people were in the water, it smelled like chlorine, just like a swimming pool. Also, try the 30-minute free sauna located before the entrance to the bathhouse. You can register for the waiting list in advance and go at the appointed time.

We bought the ticket on the spot. We enjoyed it and had a good experience. We tried all the free onsen pools.

The Kobe beef sukiyaki was delicious, but there was too little Kobe beef, only four slices. The indoor and outdoor hot springs were absolutely wonderful, and there were indeed many local Japanese people there.

We highly recommend the Taiko-no-Yu Onsen day trip. Buying the lunch package on Klook is even cheaper than on-site, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing day of hot springs, lunch, rest, and more hot springs.
