Excursão Guiada de Um Dia em Kuranda, Skyrail e Trem Cênico com Traslados

Our Kuranda day tour with Klook was an amazing and stress-free experience from start to finish. The pick-up and drop-off bus service made the whole day convenient and worry-free. We loved the Skyrail experience, gliding above the stunning rainforest canopy with incredible views. Don't forget to do the stops to explore rainforest and the vie of the falls. The bird aviary was a highlight, offering the chance to see colourful tropical birds up close in Karunda village. The rail journey back was enjoyable, and learning about the fascinating history of the railway added even more value. Overall, it was a well-organised and unforgettable day tour.

What you do on your own is great! You can save a lot of money by booking the Skyrail and Scenic Train on your own without booking through a tour company.. I thought the guide was going to guide us for the entire journey but that’s not the case at all. The guide is literally the bus from Cairns to Skyrail and then they will pick you up from freshwater station as well… If you don’t want to do the Skyrail, you can take the scenic train from Cairns to Kuranda Village and back to Cairns while trekking on your own to still experience Baron Falls without the Skyrail. The Skyrail is nice though.

This review is based on the Skyrail experience since my railroad trip was cancelled due to too much rain. The original itinerary was to take the Skyrail over to Kuranda and the railroad back from Kuranda. The Skyrail ride was just OK. You got to see all the tops of the trees and maybe if the weather was nice maybe you get a better view but today I was there. It was very cloudy and it’s hard to see off to the distance. There were some nice views of Barron Falls. While I was in Kuranda, I hiked to the Barron Falls viewing point that you would see from the railroad. I believe the views from the railroad side were nicer.

The travel company was very thoughtful, reconfirming the time, location, and pickup details via email a few days before departure. Additionally, during roll call at the site, they distributed instructions and admission tickets with each person's name, ensuring clarity on where to meet and depart. It was very clear.

There are other tour packages that include the duck tour for an additional $16. It would be better if it were cheaper.

The travel agency is Down Under Tours. After booking, I was supposed to receive a confirmation email, but I didn't, so I called the agency to confirm the pick-up time (which would be around 10 AM). The shuttle bus was very large, and there were many participants. The itinerary was well-arranged. Upon boarding, we received a paper with today's tour schedule, cable car tickets, and train tickets. We arrived at the cable car station at 11 AM. There are two stops in the middle where you can get off and walk around, with free ecological guided tours. After arriving at Kuranda Village, you can explore, eat, etc., on your own. Finally, at 3:30 PM, it's time to take the scenic vintage train down the mountain, and there will be detailed commentary on the train. After arriving at Freshwater Station at 5:00 PM, another bus will pick everyone up and take them back to the city.
