De Nagoya; excursão de ônibus de um dia para Kamikochi

The meeting point was easy to find, and the departure was on time. Even though it was raining and cloudy on the day we went, we were still able to comfortably walk the 3.5 km without getting tired. Our guide, Yamada, provided detailed explanations in both English and Japanese. There were three rest stops, and we arrived back in Nagoya on time, around 7 PM.

About 3.5h journey to reach with 2 toilet stop so still ok. Beautiful place. Unfortunately we went on the last day before the park closure for the season and the shrine decided to close a day earlier. Hiked for 1h for nothing but at least the view there was therapeutic.

This bus tour without a guide provides Chinese maps,注意事项 (notes/precautions), and shop discount coupons. It departs from the Nagoya meeting point to Kamikochi, arriving in approximately 3.5 hours if there's no traffic. There will be a stop at a roadside station (道の駅) for a break, where you can use the restroom and buy things. The driver will clearly announce the boarding time, making it very suitable for solo travelers who don't speak Japanese. The driver's driving was very smooth and excellent. It's best to take a photo of the license plate to avoid getting on the wrong bus. We stayed in Kamikochi for 4 hours, which was enough for a 5.7K hike. Although it was cloudy, the scenery was very beautiful. Because we spent too much time on the self-funded grilled rockfish lunch, coffee, and dessert, we had to rush back to catch the return bus. It's a place worth revisiting, and if I have the chance to come to Kamikochi again, I will still join this tour.

Recommended. We departed and arrived on time. Most of the passengers were Japanese, but all was good. However, the two Japanese girls in front of us were inconsiderate and lacked manners. They reclined their seats even though the guide mentioned avoiding it, as the bus was a regular bus and space was limited.

After comparing several one-day tours to Kamikochi, my main criterion was simply to have more time there (4 hours would be ideal, most tours offer 3.5 hours). I really wanted to see the dreamlike Myojin Pond with my own eyes (following the [Kappa Bridge - Myojin Pond] route). Only KLOOK's tour advertised "Enjoy a leisurely four-hour exploration of Kamikochi!" In reality, I did indeed leisurely and comfortably explore the 7-kilometer round trip route between [Kappa Bridge - Myojin Pond]. Although it was still the rainy season and we walked through heavy rain the entire way, I unexpectedly saw Myojin Pond shrouded in mist, like a dream, which was a pleasant surprise!

The tour guide and driver were very friendly. The meeting point was easy to find and clearly marked. The night before, an email was sent with the exact meeting time. Large luggage could be stored under the tour bus, allowing us to enjoy the trip worry-free. Kamikochi is far, but it's incredibly beautiful and worth a visit. In late April, the temperature was 15-20 degrees Celsius, so dressing warmly was necessary. We were lucky not to encounter any rain. The shops near Kappa Bridge had great things to buy, and the restaurants were delicious. Next time, I'd like to stay overnight to fully explore the mountains. It's a shame that the day trip didn't allow enough time to complete the entire route.

A dream trip come true! Thanks to the event hosted by HIS, we stopped at three rest areas on the way there. We left Kamikochi at 3:30 PM, and even though one passenger was late, the driver patiently waited for them to appear (a 10-minute wait). Because the scenery was so beautiful, we kept stopping to take photos throughout the trip, which was just enough time to walk from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge. After replenishing food and buying souvenirs, we had to prepare to head back. If you want to go to Myojin Pond or further attractions, you still need to drive yourself or take a public bus from Matsumoto for a round trip!

That trip seems to have a longer stay time in Kamikochi (~4 hours). This is enough time to visit from Kamikochi Visitor Center > Kappa Bridge > Dakesawa Marsh > Myojin Pond > Myojin Bridge > Konashidaira Campsite > Kamikochi Visitor Center.

I was looking for a 4-hour tour to see everything and found this one. We arrived early due to good road conditions on the day, and I was truly grateful that they extended our stay to 4 and a half hours. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy everything. I am very grateful to the driver for being so polite and kind. Next time, I think I'll try participating in just the Imperial Hotel lunch and the surrounding area for a more elegant experience.
