Aventura de mergulho autônomo no Parque Tunku Abdul Rahman

Scuba diving in Kota Kinabalu was fun. While not quite on par with the Philippine seas, it was January, so there were many jellyfish, and we even saw stingrays. Lester was incredibly kind and tried very hard to find sharks for us, helping us have a happy trip. Parasailing at Gaya Island made us feel like we had the whole world. Gaya Island, viewed from high in the sky, was truly beautiful and stunning.

This was my first boat dive, but the instructor was very patient and meticulous, making this overseas scuba experience excellent!

Very kind coach. Detailed explanations and instructions. The 10-minute boat ride is very relaxing. After diving, you can slowly relax on the beach until 2:30 PM before heading back. Took many beautiful photos. The sea water is very clear. Highly recommended, a must-visit.

The weather was bad that day, with rain and big waves. The speedboat was small, resulting in our group members' clothes and pants getting completely soaked on the way. At the first diving spot, the water was very murky, and we couldn't see anything, only practice techniques. At the second diving spot, because we dived deeper, although the water was still murky, we could still see some fish, which was a small gain. A group member was accidentally injured (unrelated to diving), and the coach performed first aid very professionally and diligently, which is commendable. Overall, that day was not suitable for beginners to dive. We recommend tightening the weather standards for conducting activities.

The pick-up time was set very early, but after arriving at Jesselton Point, we waited 50 minutes for the diving team to show up, which felt a bit long. After boarding, we had a 40-minute instruction and trial dive at Sapi Island, then enjoyed a delicious lunch at Gaya Island. Afterwards, we did a deep dive for about 30 minutes off the coast of Sapi Island before returning to the main port. The instructor's Chinese was excellent, and they were very professional and patient with their teaching. Two instructors for three students meant there was no need to worry about any issues underwater.

Great experience, highly recommended if you have never dived before / are looking to take your PADI license in the future. This activity can give you an idea of what to expect. Shout out to our guide and instructor, Lester. He was very helpful and friendly, patiently guiding us during the whole 2 diving sessions. Total dive time was around 2 hrs, depending on how long your oxygen lasts Thanks alot to the team for providing an excellent experience

I would like to thank our instructor Siang, who is very patient and took good care of us throughout the diving session. The visibility was not very clear due to the rain the night before our diving day, but with his professional guidance, we were able to overcome our fear in the deep water and see turtles and cuttlefish, which would have been hardly noticeable without his guidance.

Today was a fantastic day! We saw corals of various colors and shapes, as well as clownfish and other marine life. Most importantly, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Vivi from Sea Tango for taking such good care of my daughter and ensuring her safety during the snorkeling activity. She also showed her various marine creatures, including a few baby sharks. Chris, the driver sent by the tour company, was also very professional. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful and memorable experience!

The staff for this activity were excellent. For reference, the local staff for the snorkeling activity I participated in the day before, booked through KKday, were quite boisterous while guiding... it felt like a neighborhood youth group had come out to playfully interact with tourists. At first, I thought all activities were like that, but what a surprise! After experiencing the staff for this scuba diving, I realized, 'This is what STAFF should be like...' Professional and serious. Friendly without being overly playful. The PADI staff were calm and unhurried, inspiring trust. It doesn't seem like the difference in staff quality was due to different programs from the day before (this program included snorkelers among those on the boat). It genuinely seems to be a difference in the staff themselves.
