Mergulho com Snorkel na Fenda de Silfra com Traslado Opcional de Reykjavik

Although the temperature felt like only 2 degrees Celsius that day, I still wanted to try diving in Iceland. When I first got into the water, it felt warm because the water temperature was maintained at 1 degree. It got very cold later, but I still thought the experience was very cool.

The vendor was Arctic Adventures, and they were clearly very experienced. The snorkel guide had a very good sense of humor and made us feel at ease throughout the dressing-up process. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

The snorkeling experience was phenomenal! While the water was cold, the body was kept dry wearing the dry suit! Excellent guide and great photos! Highly recommended!

The entire experience with pickup is about half a day, you only spend less than an hour in the water. The drive from Reykjavik is about 45 minutes, prep time of getting into the suits, and briefing is about an hour. When you finally get in the water you are treated to some of the most beautiful and drinkable water I’ve ever seen - don’t drink too much or you may end up buying your suit. If you are lucky to get some sunshine while you snorkel the water elevates to something mind blowing. The only downside to this adventure is that the area is inhabited by minges who are incredibly annoying so be prepared to constantly swat them or look silly so they don’t bother you. You end up in a small group with a guide which makes the experience even better. I would easily do this experience again.

We had a wonderful time! Our guide Sara helped us through the entire set up process (from wearing the equipment to leading us through the Silfra fissure). Slightly expensive but definitely once in a lifetime experience.

This snorkeling activity is excellent; seeing the clear glacial water is such a rare experience! When you come to Iceland, you must try it.

It was very hot wearing the wetsuit on shore, I almost suffocated (had to wait about 30 minutes before getting into the water). Thankfully, it was cool and comfortable once in the water, which was very clear. With 300 degrees of myopia, I could still see clearly underwater without contact lenses. For those with high myopia, I recommend wearing contact lenses, as they don't provide prescription diving masks there. For those who are not good swimmers, please think twice; it's hard to breathe in a wetsuit, and the water looks very deep and amazing, but don't worry about sinking. Important reminder: You must wear socks, it's very important. They won't let you in the water if you don't wear them.

El snorkel fue genial y Dominica fue excelente liderando nuestro grupo. El traslado fue sin problemas. Recomiendo encarecidamente ver la fisura y lo profundas que son algunas de sus partes.

Putting on a wetsuit in winter can be a bit challenging. Although the tour description and reminders don't specifically require it, it's not recommended for non-swimmers to participate. The scenery at the experience location is beautiful.
