My stay at the InterContinental Guangzhou Exhibition Center this time was excellent. I hope to stay here again in the future if the opportunity arises, and I hope my friends enjoyed it too.

Basically, the hotel service is not bad. The room is spacious and well-equipped, with a bathtub and a balcony. The balcony door in the room is locked and requires staff to unlock it (you cannot lock/unlock it yourself from inside the room), which is inconvenient. The sink has some old stains that cannot be removed, and the facilities are starting to show their age. The area is quiet, but it's far from the city center. Although there's a shuttle bus to the subway station, calling a car is more convenient, which adds to transportation costs. The attractions in Guangzhou are worth visiting. Also, breakfast is average, nothing special.

Upon entering the lobby, the staff handling food deliveries also ignored guests, neither guiding them to the main lobby nor helping them with the elevator. This service was utterly disappointing. The hotel's hygiene was even more unspeakable. The lobby's cleanliness was mediocre; I even found cigarette butts near the seating area. How was the cleaning done? In the guest room, the bathroom tiles were not properly cleaned and had turned yellow. The sofa at the foot of the bed had a lot of stains, which was quite upsetting. When I opened the promotional brochure on the bedside table, I even found hair inside – truly disgusting. With such service and hygiene standards, the overall experience was very subpar. Keep in mind that this hotel costs a thousand yuan per night, offering extremely poor value for money. If it weren't for a buy-one-get-one-free promotion, I would never have considered it.
