Avaliações
Not only Banteay Srei, but you can also visit Pre Rup Temple on your way back from Banteay Srei. Compared to a regular tour, it's more expensive, but if you negotiate with the driver, you can visit other temples besides Banteay Srei. If you prefer to go at your own pace, booking this option will allow you to enjoy it more.
It's a place you can easily reach by tuk-tuk. On the way, you can see the Cambodian countryside. The tuk-tuk driver drove very safely. And although this place is small, incredibly intricate carvings remain.
Banteay Srei, located northwest of Angkor Thom, is distinct from Angkor's massive structures and Buddhist deities. It is small, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, and its wall carvings depict numerous epics. I love the way it has been restored and its ambiance! Most of the supporting framework is on the inside and made of wood, so it doesn't obstruct the overall visual appeal of the ruins. In several areas, you can smell something like sandalwood. Although it's quite a distance, be sure to arrive early, as it gets extremely crowded, which can spoil the experience.
It takes about an hour by tuk-tuk from Siem Reap city to reach this temple. Compared to other ruins like Angkor Wat, it's a smaller temple, but the quality of its carvings was the best and most beautiful. Although I couldn't see the dancer statues inside due to an enclosure, I was satisfied because it was still beautiful! The only drawback is that it's a bit far, but the Landmine Museum is also nearby, so it's recommended for those staying for a longer period!
It was a good experience to explore temples by Tuk Tuk. We could explore the temple on our own at our own time. No one rush you, as long as you utilize your time within the time frame.
It's not recommended to use a tuk-tuk in early February! It's too cold in the morning! A tour guide cannot be added to this itinerary, and you won't be able to spend that much time at Banteay Srei. If you have 3 or more people, it might be cheaper to use Grab Car.
This is by far, next to Angkor Wat, a must-see place. The carvings on the temples are really good. We didn't even notice that we had already been inside the temple for more than 2 hours because of its beauty.
The tuk-tuk arrived on time. However, the temple itself is quite a journey, perhaps 40 minutes to an hour from the city in a rural-like neighborhood. It's quite small compared to the other Angkor temples and mainly full of Chinese tourists. Only visit if you have time. I did love the tuk-tuk ride though. Thanks
The entire itinerary did not match what was stated on the official website. Upon arrival at Banteay Srei, the tuk-tuk driver insisted on only a one-hour tour. We departed at 8:30 AM, arrived after 9:00 AM, and were forced to leave before 10:00 AM. When we asked if we could visit Preah Khan Temple on the way back, we were told it would cost an additional $30, and we would only have half an hour to see it!

The private tuk-tuk tour is very comfortably conducted at your own pace. As the tuk-tuk is driving to your destination, you can feel the breeze and look at the Cambodian life. I only spent around an hour at Banteay Srei and the driver offered to bring me to Banteay Samre free of charge.
Que bom saber
