Thank you very much, Adi, our driver and guide. I thought it would be a shared tour when I met Adi, but it turned out to be a solo tour, which I was very grateful for. We also stopped at a batik workshop, which wasn't on the original schedule, because he asked if I was interested. I had heard that Bali's roads get congested. He drove to avoid traffic, and although we skipped the very center of Ubud, the overall experience was very enjoyable. He explained the history along the way using easy-to-understand English words, which was very educational. At Goa Gajah, I miraculously stumbled upon a ceremony that only happens a few times a year, and I was told I was very lucky. At the souvenir shop we stopped at last, things were much cheaper than what I had already bought, so it might be a good idea to buy most of your souvenirs there. It was a tour I would love to join again next time.
It was a well-organized tour. The tour guide and driver were punctual, pleasant, and polite. We visited the art village and Monkey Forest. It rained when we arrived at the rice terraces, but fortunately, it stopped after a while. Overall, it was a nice experience.
We enjoyed chatting with the tour guide and learning about the day-to-day lives in Bali. The Silver factory gallery was huge with lots of pretty pieces and sculptures. The factory tour was brief but interesting. We then went to the Batik gallery for a brief explanation of the process and then walked around the gallery and shop to see the clothing and prints. The coffee plantation was nice and relaxing to have a taste of their teas and Luwak coffee and then off to Aloha Swings which was strangely a blast and not sure how we spent so much time there. We gave the rice fields a miss due to time and went straight to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary which was a pretty and fun watching the monkeys interact.
Thank you for the tour, we enjoyed everything very much, especially the Rice Terraces and the Monkey Forest. Special thanks to the guide for a comfortable trip and accompaniment.
My driver, Kaderu, was fantastic. He was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and was a very safe and efficient driver. I highly recommend him!
He was so kind and understanding! Even though we spent more time than he said, he understood. I was satisfied with this tour :)
I also visited Yan Yan Silver, which sells silver products, and a place that sells woodworking products. It felt less like a general tour where you just look at products and more like a marketing strategy to encourage purchases...? I ended up buying things because I wanted to, haha. The staff engaged in just the right amount of conversation, which made me feel more comfortable (other tours were tiring with constant chatter). The lunch spot they took us to was absolutely delicious! I also tried Luwak coffee there for the first time and went back later. The places the driver took us to were slightly cheaper than others. For Tegallalang and Monkey Forest, prepare some cash for photo fees. For the Bali Swing at Tegallalang, don't go to the place your driver is affiliated with; go and do it yourself! It's much prettier. We initially said no, but then went up and found it beautiful, and the driver asked how much we paid. When I told him the price, he stayed silent, which makes me think the driver's affiliated place is more expensive, haha (it's located higher up; I suspect the driver's spot is in the middle, with a less scenic rice field view). I think I'll use Klook again.
The trip was wonderfully organised. We had enough time to enjoy every site. Our guide was very engaging.
Our driver Putu Erman is very accommodating and kind. He always assists us to every destination before entering the place. He also gave us a choice if we wanted to go to Art Village, and we said to go to Ubud Market instead. It was really a fun and great tour for the three of us.
Our driver, Gusti, was absolutely lovely! He gave us so much information about Bali and patiently waited for us each time we finished at a venue. The tour itself was incredibly enjoyable; we loved every minute of it.
