It was an amazing experience on our 3-day trip to Yabuli and Snow Town. The trip was well-organized from the time of booking until we started the journey. Our driver, Wei Xin, was very courteous and helpful throughout the entire trip. He not only helped us navigate the places but also assisted with translations for vegetarian food, photos, places to visit, and more.
Best experience - beautiful ice block sculptures. Unbelievable! Freezing temps - suggest heat pads for both boots & body. Entered mid-afternoon and stayed until evening when the sculptures are lighted. Advise to sign into their app and get your timeslot for the different rides the moment you get there. Slots run out fast!
After the purchase, you will need to redeem your ticket at the ticketing counter using your passport. It would actually be convenient to walk up to the counter to buy tickets as well. The ticket price is similar, depending on the exchange rate.
Personally, I think the ice sculptures are beautiful, but I thought it would be bigger, haha. And FYI, if you want to play the reserved activities, just use your Alipay and scan. Once you're in and can't access the reservation for the slots, go straight to their customer service center near the entry, and they will help you! Food was good, and lol, I played so many short slides too. I went here on my last day in Harbin, and I'd already done a few snow activities, so I didn't do much. They have so much though!! Ice skating, Ice Hockey, Shows, etc.
A remarkable experience! It’s hard not to admire and appreciate the artists who spent hours carving and building the ice sculptures, and then adding lights to illuminate the park! We recommend going just before sunset and then staying till dark so you get to see the park in natural light and illuminated. All the sculptures are amazing. Some notable ones are an ice castle, bridge, slide, tunnel, Great Wall, etc. There is also an indoors food hall in one of the buildings. Lots of variety to choose from: noodle soup, Pizza Hut, Fish Pot, even a Starbucks. Will also recommend you getting the spike straps for your boots as it can be a little slippery. the spikes add a little traction to your steps but remember to remove them when you go indoors as it can be slippery to walk with the spikes indoors. We also suggest taking the train ride (for an extra fee) that takes you around the entire park so you have an idea of where certain sculptures are. The train does not stop anywhere else. It just makes a big loop and return to origin. And, of course, dress warm!
Harbin Ice and Snow Festival is a magical winter wonderland with stunning ice art and icy fun. Very recommended.
Entry was easy with the provision of QR codes. You need to reserve online for the Ferris wheel and major slides. Other rides are payable.
The place was simply amazing and spectacular. We were all in awe as we saw and looked at each ice and snow sculpture - truly a talent. We had an easy time going in; the attendants at the entrance were very helpful in getting our actual tickets since we booked it using our passports. However, my other friend was not able to ride the giant slide. She lost her QR code due to connection issues, and no one was willing to help her retrieve it. I think since it's a place that attracts foreigners, your attendants should be accommodating and able to understand a little English. It was just a sad and bad experience for us.
