Dingen om te doen in Loch Ness

Mijn gids en chauffeur voor die dag was Keith (26 mei). Ik koos voor de Loch Ness en Hooglanden tour. De rit was zeer informatief en leerzaam, ik kon de geschiedenis van Schotland en de Hooglanden echt waarderen. De gebieden waar we naartoe gingen en de natuur waren ook prachtig. De rit voelde veilig en ik kon onderweg ook genieten van het landschap.

Enjoyed a comfortable small-group tour with Timberbush guide Ben. He kept everything on time and all the spots fitted in nicely and comfortably with no hurries. Great locations for a general experience of the Highlands. Besides the main spots in Glenfinnan and Loch Ness, particularly enjoyed the small village of Mallaig and was able to catch the locks in action in Fort Augustus. Ben had a nice playlist of songs of contemporary Scottizh folk music which made the long drives enjoyable with the views and had some nice bits of trivia here and there along the way.

We hebben begin april de eendaagse tour gedaan en genoten van perfect weer met bijna geen regen. Onze gids (Karen) was hartelijk, attent en deed haar uiterste best door ons naar vele schilderachtige fotoplekken te brengen, zeker meer dan de reisroute suggereerde. Karen deelde ook boeiende achtergrondverhalen over de attracties en de hooglanden, wat ons een dieper inzicht gaf en ons nog meer verliefd maakte op de plek. Over het algemeen een uitstekende ervaring — veel waar voor je geld, prachtige landschappen en een uitmuntende gids. Dank u wel!

Een leuke, lange maar niet vermoeiende of saaie tour. Alle plaatsen konden volgens plan worden bezocht en er was zelfs een extra bezoek aan de 'hairy coos' aan het einde, nadat we aan het begin van de tour geen tijd hadden gehad om foto's te maken vanwege het winkelen. De prijs was redelijk concurrerend en het tourteam was professioneel. Een goede ervaring.

Vanaf het kanaal tot aan het kasteel zijn er tussenstops, en de comfortabele rondvaartboot met boeiende gidscommentaar, terwijl u geniet van de pracht van Loch Ness, maakt het een zeer ontspannende toeristische activiteit. Het zou nog beter zijn als deze activiteit ook tijd voor een kasteelbezoek zou omvatten.

Our tourguide Callum is so impressive! He was a very safe driver, a podcaster, a DJ, and a tourguide all in 1 as he drove us through the highlands. While the weather was foggy and that meant that some of the scenery were not the clearest - that's also the beauty of the Scottish Highlands, is it not?;)

We had an excellent Loch Ness tour with Jack today. He was friendly, professional, and an outstanding guide. His extensive knowledge of Scottish history, culture, and local legends made the journey both fascinating and enjoyable. The tour was informative and memorable. Thank you Jack for a fantastic experience.

This cruise tour is a must if you're in Scotland! Although, you may not see Nessie, you will see some beautiful views of Loch Ness and the castle. The Clansman Hotel has a great bar and restaurant, so I would recommend starting your tour there. I took the Ember bus which is efficient, however, you must book your specific stop and pickup. They will not stop, unless you specifically book The Clansman Hotel. My return pickup was missed as I booked the wrong pickup point, costing me 45 minutes. Ask someone if you don't know how to book this bus or find a different mode of transportation. Getting there is not difficult. Being a tourist, I found out the hard way, however, they had some great Scotch in the bar while I waited. Good trade off. Enjoy it!

Sonia was een erg goede gids! Grappig en slim. Het was erg mooi. We hadden goed weer, dus dat was ook mooi meegenomen haha. Ik raad de tour echt aan!
