Things to do in Loch Ness

my guide and driver for the day was Keith (09 May 26). I chooses the lochness and highlands tour . the drive was very informative and educational, I am able to appreciate the history of Scotland and the highlands . The areas that we went to and nature was beautiful too. The drive felt safe and I was also able to appreciate the scenery along the way .

Enjoyed a comfortable small-group tour with Timberbush guide Ben. He kept everything on time and all the spots fitted in nicely and comfortably with no hurries. Great locations for a general experience of the Highlands. Besides the main spots in Glenfinnan and Loch Ness, particularly enjoyed the small village of Mallaig and was able to catch the locks in action in Fort Augustus. Ben had a nice playlist of songs of contemporary Scottizh folk music which made the long drives enjoyable with the views and had some nice bits of trivia here and there along the way.

We took the one-day tour in early April and enjoyed perfect weather with almost no rain. Our tour guide (Karen) was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond by bringing us to many scenic photo spots, definitely more than the itinerary suggested. Karen also shared engaging background stories about the attractions and the highlands, which gave us a deeper understanding and made us fall even more in love with the place. Overall excellent experience — great value, beautiful scenery, and an outstanding guide. Thank you!

A delightful tour, long but not tiring or boring. All locations were managed according to plan, and we even had an extra visit at the end to see the Hairy Coos again, as we were too busy shopping to take photos at the beginning of the tour. The price was quite competitive, and the tour team was professional. A good experience.

Starting from the canal, with a stopover at the castle, this comfortable cruise boat offers captivating guided commentary while you admire the magnificent views of Loch Ness. It's a very relaxing sightseeing activity. It would be even better if the activity included time for a castle tour.

Our tourguide Callum is so impressive! He was a very safe driver, a podcaster, a DJ, and a tourguide all in 1 as he drove us through the highlands. While the weather was foggy and that meant that some of the scenery were not the clearest - that's also the beauty of the Scottish Highlands, is it not?;)

We had an excellent Loch Ness tour with Jack today. He was friendly, professional, and an outstanding guide. His extensive knowledge of Scottish history, culture, and local legends made the journey both fascinating and enjoyable. The tour was informative and memorable. This cruise tour is a must if you're in Scotland! Although, you may not see Nessie, you will see some beautiful views of Loch Ness and the castle. The Clansman Hotel has a great bar and restaurant, so I would recommend starting your tour there. I took the Ember bus which is efficient, however, you must book your specific stop and pickup. They will not stop, unless you specifically book The Clansman Hotel. My return pickup was missed as I booked the wrong pickup point, costing me 45 minutes. Ask someone if you don't know how to book this bus or find a different mode of transportation. Getting there is not difficult. Being a tourist, I found out the hard way, however, they had some great Scotch in the bar while I waited. Good trade off. Enjoy it!

Sonia was a very good guide! Funny and smart. It was very beautiful. We had good weather so that was also a good thing haha. I really recommend the tour!
