Maru Koala and Animal Park tours

Gids Curtis was erg enthousiast, en in het begin leek hij inderdaad wat spraakzaam. Maar later gaf hij ons ook tijd om uit te rusten. De hele tour had voldoende tijd, we voelden ons helemaal niet gehaast, hoewel sommige gasten misschien iets te laat waren. De ervaring met de stoomtrein was erg goed, ik had niet verwacht dat we er bijna 45 minuten in zouden zitten. De meeste souvenirs hoef je naar mijn mening niet te kopen; gebruik die tijd liever om foto's te maken en van het landschap te genieten. Toen we de pinguïns gingen bekijken, was ik verrast dat de gids, toen hij zag dat ik een korte rok droeg, vroeg of ik het koud had en me zelfs een warmtepakje gaf. Ik ben niet kouwelijk, dus ik gaf het warmtepakje meteen aan mijn vriendin die wel kouwelijk is. Ik raad iedereen aan om de luxe zitplaatsen te kopen, want dan zie je het hele proces van hoe ze aan land komen en weer teruggaan. Je bent dan bijna op twee handpalmen afstand van ze, wat het absoluut waard is. Nog verrassender was de sterrenhemel; het uitzicht in combinatie met de pinguïns was echt 100 punten waard. Hartelijk dank voor deze ervaring.

Overall, the tour was good, although the itinerary felt a bit rushed. There were so many places to visit, but not enough time to fully enjoy each one. The highlights of our trip were definitely the rainforest tour and the Puffing Billy experience—they were absolutely superb! I’d also like to give special recognition to our tour guide, Mr. Joe Chan. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating throughout the trip. He went above and beyond by helping us take photos and videos, making sure we captured wonderful memories together. We truly appreciated his thoughtfulness and exceptional service. Thank you, Mr. Joe Chan, for making our experience even more enjoyable. Kudos to you!

Ik heb echt genoten van deze tour en waardeerde hoeveel moeite Matt deed om de ervaring leuk en informatief te maken. Hij deelde veel interessante informatie over Melbourne en Phillip Island, en gaf bovendien veel nuttige aanbevelingen voordat de tour eindigde. De route was goed gepland en we hadden genoeg tijd om van elke stop te genieten zonder ons gehaast te voelen. Matt wist zelfs nog wat extra plekken in te plannen, zodat we onderweg kangoeroes, wallaby's en andere dieren konden zien. De rit met de Puffing Billy Railway was een leuke ervaring, de uitzichten bij The Nobbies tijdens zonsondergang waren absoluut prachtig, en de kleine pinguïns waren ongelooflijk schattig!! 😄

Had a great day on this tour! Vance was punctual, friendly and knowledgeable on and shared lots of interesting info throughout the journey. We started at Brighton Beach for some cute instagrammable photos with the iconic rainbow bathing boxes, followed by the Puffing Billy train ride with its stunning scenic views. There was also enough time at the various stops and we even got to interact with some wild animals along the way. The Penguin Parade was a lovely way to end the day - real cute creatures! Highly recommend for first-time visitors to Melbourne! 😊

This tour worth every penny you spent. Driver and tour guide Evan is bilingual, he speaks in Mandarin and English. Evan is nice and informative. The itinerary and introduction of everything he provided is clear. we go puffing train railway directly, and spent 2hrs there including having lunch by ourselves. Taking the train is so much fun! If the weather is good, the view is super nice! We love it a lot. The train took around one hour from Lakeside to Belgrave. Then we headed to the Maru Koala animal park. Evan bought the group ticket for everyone, it costs $30 per person cheaper than the original price $33. The zoo has many animal, like kangaroos, white kangaroos, koalas, quokka, alpacas, dingoes, sheep and some reptiles. We can get so close with animal and take selfie, it was a great experience and we enjoyed a lot. Definitely will recommend this tour to everyone visiting Melbourne. The puffing train is one of the must do thing in Melbourne.

Hoewel de gids niet de hele tijd aanwezig is en het niet goedkoop is, is er wel een korte introductie tijdens de rit, de bezochte attracties zijn allemaal erg mooi en het bespaart je de moeite van het zelfstandig reizen. Het is een echte aanrader voor reizigers met een klein reisgezelschap die geen auto huren. Ten slotte, een tip voor Phillip Island: blijf niet te lang aan het strand wachten op de pinguïnparade! Als je eerder teruggaat naar de wandelpaden, kun je de kleine pinguïns van dichterbij naar huis zien gaan. Je kunt ook rond de wandelpaden zoeken als het nog niet donker is, je kunt echt verdwaalde pinguïns zien!

Logan made the trip spectacular! Well planned trip and sufficient time to do everything! Logan guided us throughout the entire tour and explained very well. He followed everyone and made sure everyone was okay and cared of us very well. Came early as well and drove slower to let us spot some kangaroos on the way. Speaks both English and Mandarin. Super meticulous and thoughtful trip with Logan👍👍👍 1000000% recommend this!!

We had a wonderful private one-day trip to Phillip Island to see the koalas and the Penguin Parade with my best friend and her lovely daughter. Our driver, Chen, was excellent — very kind, professional, and made the entire trip so smooth and enjoyable. His new Kia Carnival 2025 was spacious and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing journey.
