We had a fab time with Rie (not Rei)! She took us to places that local people frequent & to the best places, especially the tuna place which is beside Sushizanmai (best tuna sashimi!) & the sake tasting. You just have to pay for food you'd like to try, she will just recommend the best ones. :-D
Worth every penny! this was a great tour. our guide, Joes, was personable, welcoming, and knowledgeable. all the food we had was so delicious. the fatty tuna an wagyu sampler were our favorites! I suggest bringing small bills at least 10,000 yen and a lot of water. also good walking shoes!
the tour was wonderful. very informative and all the food we had was so yummy. it was really nice to be able to try things I normally would not try and it was surprising how much we loved! our guide was always concerned making sure we had enough food and got what we wanted.
We really enjoyed the food tour with Haydn and Akira. They shared on the history and culture of various landmarks, while introducing the best food to us. I learned to appreciate the types and varieties food in the market, and enjoyed many delicacies. Highly recommend a try!
We toured with Jim, he is amazing!! This tour was better than expected and not only because of the food, but because he actually knows Japan history, if you came to learn about Japan, HE is your guide! You not only eat delicious food, you also learn about the country and food !!!
Friendly and knowledgeable guides made trying food effortless. We visited amazing spots, had plenty of time to explore, and enjoyed fresh, delicious food. Come hungry—everything was fantastic! Make sure to bring some cash as some places don't accept credit cards!
Yota was an amazing tour guide and explained everything clearly! We went to the temple, and then to the market. He even got to skip the line to get us all some delicious sushi! He also took us to get the most amazing Wagyu beef that melts in our mouth! We even got a lot of samples and sweets! I was so full after the tour, and it was all an affordable price. We only purchased what we wanted, no pressure!
Grateful to Nicolas for the lovely tour! We had a great time and learned a lot. If you book this tour, I hope you get to choose under Nicolas’s group as they assign you to different guides.
