Breakfast was good. Lovely staff everywhere from kitchen to the reception desk. Very helpful. Good value for money.

There were ants in my basement room. I appreciated having a good fan. There is no excuse for lousy WiFi.

Ideal location. Safe area. Good breakfast. Staff very helpful

So, firstly this hotel is also with another- kingsway, I was in that building. It’s an old building, so no lift, be warned if at the top the stairs are very steep, narrow and windy. The location is good, plenty of food and drink options and it is possible to walk to and from Hyde Park, perfect when going to an event and all the transport is packed. The building is tired, the chairs in the dining room had seen better days and could have done with a clean. The breakfast was freshly cooked and good. I was unfortunately there during the heatwave, there was a portable fan but the plug didn’t fit the socket, the staff member did find an adapter so it could be used but the back was covered in thick dust. What was not acceptable was the lack of maintenance. The first night the toilet broke, member of staff came, removed a panel, fiddled and basically told me to do that each time to stop the cistern from constantly filling. I informed staff the next day, was told they would get their maintenance person out, they did not fix the problem, I was left with the same situation. There was also a leak in the bathroom from the toilet, again mentioned after the first night. All in all, good location, good breakfast but needs some maintenance in room 308, wondering what others would be like!

Fantastic front of house and breakfast staff. Clean enough for a relatively low cost hotel, great that breakfast was included! Comfy beds and generally all we needed as a base to explore central London.

Room was boiling hot, fans were old and ineffective, breakfast was in another hotel across a busy road, decor was awful - would not recommend.

The bed is too small and the room is too old, but the transportation is very convenient.

The lady in the breakfast room was super sweet and looked after us very well. And boss man at reception was extremely helpful

Lovely hotel and a delicious breakfast. Close to Paddington station and lots of eateries and restaurants and parks.
