It was pouring rain so I did not get to explore around the ryokan. The inside is quiet. Room was large. Remember to order your dinner two days in advance if you want to eat there. There is room service if you want it. My breakfast was included. Taxi service on the GO app can get crazy in the morning and you can have a long wait so make a reservation for taxi early.

My family and I had such a relaxing time here. Onsens are private however was unaware that you need to book time slots for onsen usage. You can only book 2 times at night from 5-9 pm for 50 mins each time and 1 time from 7-9 am. The times are kind of inconvenient esp in the morning and you can't use an onsen if someone else reserved it. They had 3 onsen selections: outdoor, indoor & sauna, indoor & outdoor. The food was amazing and super traditional and healthy. Definitely choose the meal package. Be aware that the commute is long as location is in Hakone. We had a very relaxing time and the price was very good.

Much better than I expected. It’s very easy to reserve onsen at check in. We have the traditional Japanese room that is very spacious. I highly recommend getting the meal options (breakfast+dinner) as it’s quite difficult to get food past 4pm in the area.
