Solo stay · For leisure

The place is a very cozy traditional house. It’s close to every thing and walkable. It’s very close to the market which is good. The host is very nice. The house is all shared space. Cons- is that if you are someone who is a light sleeper is not for you ( but everyone are respectful in terms of noise/quite time) also its a shared bathroom meaning you have to time when you are going to take a shower.

Solo stay

Friendly staff; good location; chilled vibes. Beds had the essentials - personal light, curtain and electrical sockets; with a bit of extra space for storage. Traditional thin Japanese mattress but I found it comfortable enough. Good shower. All in all an excellent value hostel - the only improvement that could be made would be a better pillow as it was practically as thin as a piece of paper

Fantastic
Traditional and beautiful Japanese style guesthouse, which was more than I expected. The place was extremely clean and the beds/mats were suprisingly very comfortable. As people have pointed out, this place is small but I didn't see it as a problem. They provide tea and coffee, towels, shampoo etc. Only con of this place would be the fact that there's no airconditioner in the dormitory. How ever, the dormitory area is connected to a balcony which has an AC and a fan. They usually opened the balcony door and turned the AC on at bed time, so the dormitory wasn't too hot at all (even though it got pretty hot during the day). This is something you should consider if you're traveling Japan during the hottest season (I was traveling in the end if June). Over all I had a very good stay!

Good
Location and service is excellent and the pantry area is wonderful with free coffee and tea and bath towel provided! My only grouses are that without heating, the beds are too cold and if you go, pick the upstairs bed rather than the beds below because the beds above creak badly and disturb the person below a lot. Otherwise the bedding is very comfortable. For the price of the dormitory beds though, it’s a good choice but not so comfortable in the winter.
