My friend is a huge Hello Kitty fan, so staying at the Sanrio character hotel in Okinawa was her absolute dream—and honestly, it turned out to be such a fun experience even for someone like me who isn’t a big Sanrio fan. From the moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a colourful Sanrio world: cute, cheerful, and full of charming details. Every floor has its own unique theme, and every corner of the hotel is thoughtfully decorated with beloved characters. Our room was adorable, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. I’ll admit I felt a bit awkward at first surrounded by so much cuteness, but I genuinely think all Sanrio fans should come and stay. The hotel also offers discounts for guests when shopping on the ground floor, and since the reception is open 24/7, fans can browse and shop anytime they like. It’s a small perk, but it really adds to the experience.

overall this was a fun place to stay. we stayed in the cinnamoroll suite. we got some free ice cream vouchers, little notebooks and stickers, and access to the evening lounge. all this was nice. the room was clean and well themed. overall staff was friendly and accommodating. only down side is you are given a breakfast time and ours was 7 am…too eaaarly for kids who had been traveling. breakfast is ok. there give you two options to choose from (hamburger or salmon) served with soup, salad and rice. plus there is a drink and bread bar. overall it did what we booked it for and that was to please our kids
