Grandvert hotel is excellent! It locates near the karuizawa JR station in a few minutes walk, there are family mart and lawson nearby the hotel. And since the prince outlet locates at the other side of the JR station, going to the outlet from hotel was in a walkable distance as well. The staff are all very nice, spoke good English and well trained. We arrived a bit early at 2pm which checkin was not available yet, we kept our luggages at hotel and went straight to the outlet directly. When we came back at night for check in, the lugguages were already inside our rooms, their service were very good. While the room itself was cozy, clean and well maintained, the bathroom was extremely large and clean for a twin room. Though the sound proof of the wall was not very good(which you can hear talking or tv sound from the next room), I still highly recommand this hotel, I enjoyed my stay very much!
