First time in kinosaki and this place checked every box. Extremely clean and extremely great staff. The meals were excellent as well. It’s a small resort with only a small amount of rooms but our room had a river side window that was wonderful in the morning. For anyone worried about noise the whole town is very quiet so it’s not an issue at all. The resort has 2 private onsens and what’s really nice is lights throughout the hotel show if it’s opened or not so you don’t have to go all the way down to check. Also incase it’s not clear the resort does include access to the towns wonderful public onsens. At night and throughout the day the lounge is open for guests and includes open access to an open selection of snacks and liquor including: sake, wine, and beer. 10/10 wonderful resort wonderful staff Dinner: excellent.if you don’t order anything extra or special: Start off by picking whatever items you want steamed (big selection of veggies, sea food, pork belly, oyster, etc.) they also allowed one half serving of the famous crab per person. Then they serve you a large beautiful sashimi platter. Then they bring you the main course. For us it was the tajima beef with rice and a couple other ways to enjoy it as well. Drinks were open for whatever you wanted and however much you wanted. If there was any negative it would be no shower in our room which dinner matter because the 2 onsens had a shower+ soaps and it was nice to get ready down stairs and soak after.

I thought this place was really nice, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The private bath is a nice addition for all guests, there are two of them that do not require reservation, and it’s nice to just soak there if available. The location is convenient and it’s right next to one of the 7 bathhouses… but it’s farther from the better ones. The best part about the stay here was the Sashimi dinner platter. The sashimi you get at the start of every dinner is some of the freshest sashimi you will ever eat. It’s S tier sashimi, it’s the best I’ve had in Japan. The rooms are cozy, I stayed in Kasuga, just above the building overlooking the street. There isn’t a shower in the room, you’re encouraged to bath in the 7 bathhouses.

The staff were very welcoming. There was a great lounge on the third floor for breakfast, snacks, a late afternoon beverage and dinner. The private onsen was a nice touch.
