a beautiful renovation of a Kyoto townhouse with lovely touches like the hidden garden and outdoor bath (in addition to the indoor one). (The outdoor one is a bit tepid in winter and the stone tile in it don’t warm up.). The breakfast is a fabulous Japanese Buddhist vegetarian spread delivered to your room. (it’s delivered 8:30-9 so don’t book an early tour or you’ll miss it). Good location.
