Best accommodation through our Japan Autumn family trip ❤️ a bit of an uphill walk to KOWAkidani station of the Hakone Tozan Railway. Love the indoor onsen and infrared sauna! Toiletries, pajamas, and face moisturiser samples. Washing machine with dryer works fine. Scenic mountain view with an outdoor feet soak. Bedroom with two large double beds, and 2 tatami beds near the living room. A coffee capsule each. Lots of complimentary snacks but they weren't able to exchange the wine, alcohol, or meat based snacks. Otherwise there was not much to do so be sure to eat before returning back. I hope KLOOK team please take note that although email reply was prompt, the passcode given was wrong and delayed our check in process. Fortunately we were able to call Reception for the correct one. Check out took some time and they required our passport pictures, but staff was very helpful and guided us through video call from room tablet.

Overall, we had a really pleasant stay at Rakuten STAY TERRACE Hakone Kowakudani. The location is a little remote, but the area is incredibly serene and quiet. There are a few great restaurants nearby (special shout-out to the Taiwanese restaurant just a 1-minute drive away). The only downside is the lack of a nearby supermarket, which can be inconvenient for families with kids. Self check-in was straightforward and smooth. The room size was epic — we really loved how spacious it was. Facilities and equipment felt well maintained. Cleanliness was above average, especially considering how large the room is. The no-staff concept didn’t bother us at all; everything was clear and easy to manage. Would recommend for families or groups looking for space and a peaceful environment.

this was a an extremely excellent experience but I could not recommend you book through klook as they failed to provide any of the access codes needed to check-in fortunately we managed to sneak in with another group so we were able to contract staff to get assistance we our check in.
