Lala Mountain is a great place to escape the summer heat in Taoyuan. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park's giant cypress forest, where the gentle slopes of the trails make for an easy walk. As you hike, breathe in the phytoncides from the mountain, cleansing your mind and body, and experience the beauty of the magnificent natural surroundings! The park also features plants such as green maple, red maple, and beech, forming a highly representative forest ecosystem in the mid-altitude mountains of northern Taiwan. Every November and December, the green leaves turn from yellow to red, creating a uniquely romantic and poetic scene. The park is also an important habitat for wildlife such as the Taiwan blue magpie, yellow-bellied fantail, and Formosan serow.

Online ticket purchasing is convenient, and more importantly, it's cheaper than buying on-site, plus you save on parking fees. Every time I visit Dongyanshan, I buy my tickets directly through Klook. You select your date after purchase, and the tickets are valid for a year, so there's no need to worry about sudden rain forcing a reschedule and making your tickets unusable. It's incredibly convenient.

Buying tickets online allows for a parking fee discount, which is a great deal. The flat area of the park isn't very large; unless you plan to hike up Baxianshan, you can see everything in about an hour. However, the tickets are inexpensive, so it's still worth exploring at least once!

Manyueyuan es llano y fácil de recorrer, por lo que los fines de semana hay mucha gente. La última parte del sendero, cerca de la cascada, tiene escaleras que son más difíciles de subir. Guau, creo que el tour por Alishan es casi imposible de hacer si no es con un paquete turístico. Hay muchas más montañas altas en Taiwán de lo que pensaba. Aunque hay montañas aún más altas, Alishan también es realmente fascinante y extremadamente alta; solo subir y bajar toma una hora, y sumando el traslado desde Taichung, ¡terminé agotado! Incluso al llegar a Fenqihu pensé que ya habíamos llegado... pero para nada. Si alguien sufre de mareos, de verdad traigan pastillas para el mareo. Aunque normalmente no me mareo, la verdad la pasé muy mal. Curiosamente, no sé si eran taiwaneses o chinos, pero los participantes de la comunidad de habla china estaban todos muy frescos y sin problemas en el tour. Nuestro guía era taiwanés, y como éramos 4 participantes de Taiwán y 4 de Corea, nos guio usando el chino taiwanés y un traductor para el coreano en lugar de inglés. Aunque fue un poco agotador ir y venir, al ver las fotos ese sentimiento desaparece por completo porque es hermoso, así que preparen bien su condición física y todos anímense a visitar Alishan. ¡Es increíblemente majestuoso!

We took the shortest trail to see the waterfall. A leisurely walk to and fro the trail will take approximately 45 minutes. Rest rooms mid way to the waterfall observation deck was also very clean. Unfortunately, the observation deck to the upper part of the waterfall was not accessible due to the fallen stones. There was even a scenic and forest bathing trail that may take a longer time.

The park is quite spacious, and it's very pleasant to walk around! It's perfect for escaping the heat in the afternoon. This time, I brought my parents to Taitung, and this was one of our stops. 💙 I saw many positive reviews, and I really recommend buying tickets directly on Klook (a full-price ticket is $100 at the gate, but it's $20 cheaper here!). Once you enter the park, just show the QR code to the staff for scanning.
