Whisky Live, established by the UK’s Whisky Magazine, is a prestigious international event held in over 33 cities globally. This marks its eighth year in Hong Kong, serving as a significant annual highlight for both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers to whisky. It provides a chance to meet renowned distillers, brand ambassadors, and whisky experts from around the world. Continuing the success of previous years, this year’s Whisky Live will be held at the spacious Kunsthalle on the 6/F of K11 MUSEA, offering guests ample space for various activities, enhancing the tasting journey.

A Festival of Whisky, Culinary Delights, and Entertainment

Whisky Live Hong Kong 2024 will showcase over 300 whiskies from various distilleries, providing an exceptional tasting experience. The event will include masterclasses, tasting sessions, entertainment programs and a vibrant food zone with diverse offerings, such as handmade ice cream, Taiwanese snacks, Thai dishes, and creative rice crackers with sea urchin and crab, all paired with international whiskies and cocktails.

This year marks a special collaboration with the Hong Kong Bar Show, featuring renowned local mixologists crafting innovative cocktails. Guests can sip on award-winning drinks while taking in stunning views of Victoria Harbour, creating a lively atmosphere of creativity and enjoyment. Exciting Music Lineup

The event features an exhilarating music lineup. The Rhythm In A Cask music festival takes place on Saturday from 5PM to 9 PM, showcasing talented artists like HYPERSPACE (featuring Alex Lam & Wendyz Zheng), Vivian Chan, GIMAG, Andy is Typing, and COPAK. Attendees can enjoy a diverse range of music styles while savoring premium whiskies, cocktails, and gourmet food in a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere.

Exclusive Limited Edition – Sakurao Single Cask Single Malt Whisky

Every year, Whisky Magazine collaborates with different distilleries to release a single cask bottling dedicated to the event. The panel selects the finest cask from hundreds, resulting in a collectible, limited-edition release, which is of great value and limited to only a few hundred bottles. To celebrate Whisky Live Hong Kong 2024, the organizers have curated a special bottle from Sakurao Distillery in Hiroshima, Japan. Distilled in 2022 and aged in a Bordeaux red wine cask, this collectible single-barrel whisky is limited to only 180 bottles, bundled with tickets. With aromas of red fruit cake, raisins, and sweet spices, the palate is rich and refined, featuring notes of red fruit, raspberry, sweet clove, cinnamon, and a touch of fine tannin. The finish is lengthy, with juicy, spiced cherry, black pepper, and sweet spices.
