Things to do in Shamian Island

We had an absolutely wonderful day with our tour guide Tommy and our driver Ajay. Tommy shared his extensive knowledge of Guangzhou's complex history and his local knowledge of the food, attractions and shopping. He took us to so many interesting places. Highlights included the Yong Qing Fang district, Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, the Cantonese Opera Museum plus so much more. The Pearl River night cruise was another great experience. Tommy looked after us every step of the way and helped us to take some great photos. When he realised I liked street art, he took a short detour to show me some! He was even happy to give us advice for the rest of our visit. Thank you!

It was truly a relaxing experience and well-worth the amount paid. Although it is not located on the main road, it wasn't that hard to find and the staff was super attentive.

Absolutely loved this experience! Everyone was so friendly and made the whole process really enjoyable. I loved the outfit, makeup and final photos. Such a beautiful experince and definitely one of my favourite memories from my trip. It was a great decision to purchase tickets in advance through Klook this time. I went up the tower on May 2nd, and the crowd that day was no joke. If I hadn't planned ahead, buying tickets on-site would have meant a long wait or even not being able to get them at all. The bubble car ride also left a deep impression on me; it was spacious and comfortable, allowing me to easily enjoy the surrounding scenery from inside. As we slowly ascended, the panoramic views unfolded before my eyes, offering a truly expansive vista. The scenery was absolutely first-class, making me feel very relaxed and that it was well worth it. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the experience and highly recommend everyone to buy tickets in advance to save a lot of hassle and better enjoy the entire trip!

This is our third year using Klook to customize our trips, and every year has exceeded our expectations. This year, our Guangzhou tour guide, Xu Zhen, was incredibly thoughtful and communicative. After a full day at Chimelong Safari Park, she worried we might be hungry and bought us pastries. She also prepared delicious food for us when we were rushing to catch our train and didn't have time for breakfast. We will definitely use Klook again next year to plan our itinerary because it makes everything so hassle-free.

Playground was big and spacious and had lots of fun activities. The are also massage chairs available for parents to take a break when needed.

It was a fantastic experience and well worth it for the incredible views of the city lit up at night, including a great angle of the Canton Tower and the surrounding skyline! The 3rd-floor open deck is top-tier. Being up top gives you completely unobstructed 360-degree views and amazing photo opportunities of the city lights and the modern architecture along the river. The cruise lasts for about 70 minutes, which is the perfect amount of time to relax, take photos, and enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed. Booking the 3rd deck came with an assigned table, plus some complimentary tea and snacks, which made the trip extra comfortable. Make sure to arrive at the pier at least 20 to 30 minutes before departure. If you are used to orderly lines, the crowd management here can feel a bit overwhelming, as people tend to push forward rather than queue up properly. Overall, the actual cruise experience on the top deck was wonderful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Guangzhou!
