Things to do in Shamian Island

Our guide was Mango and she did a fantastic job to tour us around Liwan and Shamian island. It’s a decent walk - around 12k steps and lots of things to see, hear and smell on the way! Definitely a good way to see and learn more about this pretty part of Guangzhou.

We had an absolutely wonderful day with our tour guide Tommy and our driver Ajay. Tommy shared his extensive knowledge of Guangzhou's complex history and his local knowledge of the food, attractions and shopping. He took us to so many interesting places. Highlights included the Yong Qing Fang district, Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, the Cantonese Opera Museum plus so much more. The Pearl River night cruise was another great experience. Tommy looked after us every step of the way and helped us to take some great photos. When he realised I liked street art, he took a short detour to show me some! He was even happy to give us advice for the rest of our visit. Thank you!

It was a great decision to purchase tickets in advance through Klook this time. I went up the tower on May 2nd, and the crowd that day was no joke. If I hadn't planned ahead, buying tickets on-site would have meant a long wait or even not being able to get them at all. The bubble car ride also left a deep impression on me; it was spacious and comfortable, allowing me to easily enjoy the surrounding scenery from inside. As we slowly ascended, the panoramic views unfolded before my eyes, offering a truly expansive vista. The scenery was absolutely first-class, making me feel very relaxed and that it was well worth it. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the experience and highly recommend everyone to buy tickets in advance to save a lot of hassle and better enjoy the entire trip!

recommended if you want to see all the touristy area but be aware that not all buses have English audio, staff are helpful will assist as much as they can. they pick up every 30mins for every location.

Cecilia was our guide and we really enjoyed her detailed explanation in English throughout the whole tour. Even my 9 year son was thoroughly engaged! We learnt so much about the Chen Clan academy and would highly recommend this tour!

We were welcomed to the tour by our guide Celine. We explored the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Experience Zone, Robotic Vending Machine, Haixinsha Omni-Space Intelligent Experience Center and took a ride in a Robotaxi. The tour ended with observing a drone food delivery. Many thanks to Celine for her patience with my elderly mum and her thoughtfulness in getting our names printed on 3D keychains.
