Tamborine National Park

Tamborine National Park is open every day, from sunrise to sunset, and the best part is that it’s free to enter! You can walk through the beautiful rainforests and enjoy the trails without spending any money. However, if you want to visit special attractions like the Glow Worm Caves, there will be separate fees for those.

You’ll find Tamborine National Park in the Gold Coast Hinterland, in South East Queensland, Australia. The park is located on a lush mountain plateau. Driving to Tamborine National Park is the easiest way to reach it. If you’re coming from Brisbane, it takes about an hour by car, and it’s about the same distance from the Gold Coast. Follow the signs to Tamborine Mountain and you’ll find clear directions to important spots in the park, like the Cedar Creek Falls Track and Witches Falls Section.

The best time to visit Tamborine National Park is from late autumn to early spring (April to October) when the weather is cooler. During this time, it's nice and mild, perfect for hiking. You can enjoy the rainforest and eucalypt forest without worrying about the summer heat. Visiting in the morning can also be great since you'll get to have peaceful walks and see the beautiful nature with fewer people around

Spending a whole day in Tamborine National Park lets you see the main attractions without rushing. You can walk on several trails, like the Cedar Creek Falls Track and Witches Falls Circuit, stop by the Cedar Creek Falls Lookout, and enjoy the Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens. If you don’t have much time, a half-day is still good. You can focus on one or two areas and still have a great time!
