The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most famous landmarks in the world. Located in Italy, this freestanding bell tower was built in the 12th century as part of the cathedral square in Piazza dei Miracoli. The tower leans at almost four degrees because of its soft, unstable foundations. The structure’s unique tilt and Romanesque architecture, designed by Bonanno Pisano and continued by Giovanni di Simone, have drawn visitors for centuries. When you visit, climb the tower’s 294 steps to reach the bell chamber and take in stunning views of Tuscany, the Arno River, and the nearby mountains and sea. Be sure to also explore the Cathedral, Baptistery, and Camposanto Cemetery next door, where you’ll find incredible art and history. And of course, don’t leave without snapping the classic photo of yourself “holding up” the tower. Today, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is not only a symbol of Italian architecture but also one of the most visited monuments in the country. A trip to the Torre Pendente di Pisa promises history, beauty, and an unforgettable experience. Book your Leaning Tower of Pisa tickets and tours today!

We had an amazing experience thanks to Sara, our guide, and Patrick, our bus driver. Everything ran smoothly—we arrived at each destination on time and had enough time to explore. Patrick drove safely the entire trip, and when my husband accidentally left his phone on the bus, Sara quickly coordinated with him to locate and secure it. The phone was returned safely, which we really appreciated. We visited many beautiful spots in just one day—it was a bit tiring, but Sara and Patrick kept the energy up and made the journey enjoyable. The only downside for me was the group meal at the winery; the food wasn’t quite to my taste, and I think we might have enjoyed it more if we had ordered individually. Still, overall, the experience was excellent, and I would absolutely rate this tour 5 stars.

The tour guide was excellent. I’ve booked four trips through Klook over the past week, and this guide had the best English of them all. He gave clear instructions and managed the schedule very well. My family had a great time today.

It was a great trip experience. The whole trip was equipped with two tour guides. They gave historical explanations on the bus before arriving at each scenic spot. After getting off the bus and walking to the meeting point, they agreed on the meeting time and then let the tourists move freely. The time was well allocated and the tour was not rushed. It was a very comfortable group trip. The wine tasting itinerary is very special. You can drink authentic Italian wine, which is very suitable for wine lovers. The guided tour of Siena is worth it. The decoration and paintings in the cathedral are spectacular!

We joined this Pisa tour leaving from Florence. The itinerary is very well organized. There is an English tour guide who has been assigned to our group, very funny and informative. A little short fall is too little time is allocated to climb the leaning tower. There are almost 300 steps and we need to finish climbing and coming down in less than 20 minutes through the only available stairs, leaving us not enough time to grab some food and souvenirs.

Climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa

Walk up the 251 spiral steps inside the Leaning Tower of Pisa to reach the bell chamber at the top. From there, enjoy panoramic views of Pisa, the Arno River, and the nearby mountains and sea. The tilt makes the climb feel unique and exciting. It's one of the most iconic experiences in Italy.

Explore the Duomo and the Museum

Step inside the nearby Pisa Cathedral, located in Piazza dei Miracoli, to admire grand arches, detailed white marble, and religious art. You can also visit the Opera del Duomo Museum, which displays historical artifacts and original sculptures from the cathedral square. Together, they tell the full story behind the leaning tower and its surroundings. Entry is included with many combo tickets.

Visit the Baptistery (Battistero)

The Baptistery of Pisa is the largest in Italy, and its acoustics are so perfect that staff give sound demonstrations inside. You'll see detailed carvings by Nicola Pisano and a mix of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Climb upstairs to see the stunning dome from above. It's right next to the Leaning Tower, making it an easy stop.

Walk Around the Camposanto (Cemetery)

The Camposanto Monumentale is a peaceful, historic cemetery said to be built on sacred soil from Jerusalem. Its long hallways are lined with ancient tombs and faded frescoes that survived centuries. It's quieter than the tower, offering a place to reflect and admire history. The setting makes it one of the most moving places in Piazza del Duomo.

Visit the Sinopie Museum

Located beside the Camposanto, the Sinopie Museum displays the original sketches used for frescoes in the cathedral complex. These drawings were once hidden underneath layers of paint and show the early artistic process. It's a great stop for anyone interested in medieval art and how large frescoes were made. Few visitors know about it, so it's often uncrowded.
