Bought the Trenitalia pass on Klook and got my e-ticket instantly. Activation was super easy and the QR code worked at every station from Rome to Venice. Trains were punctual, clean, and comfortable. Having unlimited travel saved me so much vs buying single tickets and let me do spontaneous day trips. Klook’s customer support was also responsive when I had a question. Best way to explore Italy by train!

We had a lot of fun, safely and comfortably. The fact that we could see everything and still be relaxed was great.

Looking up at the ceiling from inside the building, it feels so grand and enormous, as if you could be drawn into it. Sunlight streams in through the hole in the ceiling, and I imagine the way it illuminates different spots changes with the time of day, creating a unique atmosphere each hour. It's so magnificent that I can understand why this building has remained perfectly intact without collapsing.

We had a fantastic experience on the Rome Night Walk with Carpe Diem. Our guide, Dan, was extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating information about Rome’s monuments, history, and famous landmarks throughout the tour. He made the experience both informative and engaging. Dan also provided excellent food recommendations and shared useful links to restaurants and local spots to visit, which was especially helpful for the rest of our stay in Rome. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome. If you’re planning a multi-day trip, doing this tour on your first day is a great idea, as it helps you get oriented and discover places you may want to revisit later. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a great introduction to the city.

Very interesting and worth seeing. I can only recommend booking tickets in advance; even with tickets, you should expect a line at the entrance. However, entry was still quick. The audio guide app was very helpful and worked perfectly.

A fantastic tour, highly recommended! The golf cart was very clean and comfortable and our guide Ram was phenomenal. Ram asked us a lot of questions about the sites we were interested in but also what our interests were ie art/history etc. The amount we saw we could never have done in a day on our own. I would absolutely book this again when next back in Rome.

What to know about Pantheon

Things to Do at Pantheon

Visit the Monumental Tombs

The Pantheon is more than a church---it's the resting place of great artists and leaders. You'll find the tomb of Raphael, a famous painter, and two Italian kings, along with Queen Margherita. As you walk through the basilica, take a moment to observe these important figures of Rome's past. The peaceful space adds to the meaning of your visit.

These tombs make this site one of the most meaningful things to do in Rome. Entry is often free on the first Sunday of each month.

Take a Guided Tours

A guided tour helps you unlock the full story of the Pantheon Rome. Learn how it changed from a temple to a Christian church, now known as Santa Maria ad Martyres. Your guide will explain hidden details in the art, dome, and floor design.

You can purchase your Pantheon Tour through Klook which includes a qr code for fast access. It's a perfect way for visitors to enjoy the site without missing anything important.

Experience the Oculus

The oculus is the round opening at the top of the Pantheon's dome. It's one of its most magical features the Pantheon has as sunlight beams through it and lights up the rotunda below. On rainy days, you can even watch drops fall into the church, adding to the peaceful mood.

The oculus is the only source of natural light inside the building. It creates a calm, glowing atmosphere that's perfect for reflection. Seeing the oculus is a highlight of any visit to this ancient site.

Explore the Rotunda

The Pantheon's rotunda is its main room and one of the largest ever built in ancient Rome. When you enter, you'll be surrounded by a perfect circle of columns, marble, and chapels. The size and symmetry are truly stunning. Walk slowly to take in every detail---from the colorful patterns under your feet to the statues along the wall.

With the help of a guided tour, you can learn what each part of the site means. It's a must-see part of your Pantheon Rome experience.

Appreciate the Artwork

Inside the Pantheon, you'll see beautiful art that tells stories from Rome's past. Look for frescoes, sculptures, and ornate chapels lining the curved walls. Even the ceilings are works of art, full of carved patterns called coffers. These designs have inspired artists and architects for centuries. You can explore at your own pace or join a guided tour to learn more.

Be sure to respect the church setting during your visit.

Get Rome's Most Famous Coffee at Sant'Eustachio Cafe

After visiting the Pantheon, take a short walk to Sant'Eustachio Cafe, just around the corner. This place is famous for serving one of the best cups of coffee in Rome. It's a great spot to relax, especially in the afternoon after your tour. Grab an espresso and enjoy the lively city atmosphere.

It's a favorite stop for both locals and visitors. Make it part of your things to do in Rome list!

It's a great place to continue your Rome adventure after visiting the site.

Trevi Fountain

A short stroll from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain is one of Rome's most iconic landmarks. Toss a coin into the water to make a wish to return to Rome---a fun tradition for many visitors. The fountain is especially beautiful in the evening when it's all lit up. Make sure to go early or late to avoid crowds. It's a magical spot you don't want to miss.

Book in advance to skip the line. This historic site pairs perfectly with your Pantheon experience.

Tips before visiting Pantheon

Admission Fee

To visit the Pantheon, you'll need an admission ticket, which can be booked through an online purchase. A Pantheon Tour with Skip-the-Line Ticket in Rome lets you avoid long lines and includes a time slot and qr code for easy access. Some visitors, like EU citizens under 18 or over 65, may get free entry. The

Pantheon is also free on the first Sunday of each month!

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit the Pantheon is early in the morning or late in the afternoon. These hours have fewer crowds, so you can truly enjoy the beauty of the dome, oculus, and peaceful atmosphere. Weekdays are usually quieter than weekends, especially outside of the summer months.

Try to avoid peak hours around lunch when tour groups fill the site. If you want a relaxed experience, choose a quiet time slot when you book your ticket.

Dress Code

Since the Pantheon is an active church, you should dress with respect. That means covering shoulders and knees, just like when visiting other religious sites in Rome or Vatican City. If you're planning to enter for a guided tour or during religious celebrations, dressing properly is especially important. Comfortable shoes are also a good idea, as you'll walk on old marble floors.
