Then, standing on the Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge viewing platform, watching the river surge like golden scales, one cannot help but marvel at the magnificence of creation. Arriving at the Songtsam Linka Hotel in the evening, the fusion of Tibetan luxury and the secret realm of the snow-capped mountains is perfect, and the sunset under the prayer wheels of Dukezong Ancient City adds a sacred touch to the day. The golden roofs of Songtsam Monastery in the morning mist and the chanting of scriptures bring rare tranquility to the soul. On the way to Deqin, the Meili Lodge hotel guards the snow-capped peaks with an excellent view. Although we missed the "golden sunlight on the snow mountain" phenomenon, it left us wanting to come back. The White Horse Snow Mountain hike was a pleasant surprise; the primeval forest dyed with autumn colors and the majestic snow peaks created a visual feast, with every step taken amidst natural wonders. The Banyan Tree Benzi Lan hotel is like a secluded paradise on the Ancient Tea Horse Road, where the charm of an ancient post station and modern comfort are cleverly integrated. The shimmering autumn waters of Napa Lake and the colorful forests of Pudacuo National Park make people feel as if they are in a fairy tale world. And the Dala Ranch is the warmest chapter of the journey—the golden retrievers strolling among the golden haystacks and the lazy tabby cats by the fireplace instantly soften the vastness of the plateau. Finally, the time spent painting thangkas in Dukezong Ancient City is the best way to unwind after a long and dusty journey. Carrying the compassionately designed patterns painted by our own hands and the rich aroma of yak jerky, this journey comes to a satisfactory conclusion with the dual gifts of culture and local products. This is a dual pilgrimage of body and soul, with both the wild call of Tiger Leaping Gorge and the spiritual nourishment of Songtsam Monastery; we witnessed the aloofness of the snow mountains and gained the warmth of the pastures. The autumn colors and culture of Tibet have become the most intense colors in our memories. Finally, thank you to Master He for his steady driving skills and for assisting in taking care of my mother and me. It was the perfect ending to my mother's retirement trip.

Tour guide: When planning the trip, I inquired with several travel companies, specifically asking if they had female guides. Klook recommended Sister Mei to us, saying that customers who had been with her thought she was exceptionally good. So, after comparing several options, we embarked on a five-day, four-night journey with Sister Mei as our driver. Unexpectedly, Sister Mei turned out to be a fantastic guide – patient, meticulous, conscientious, and responsible. She took everyone's feelings into account and took care of us without us having to say much. Sister Mei thoughtfully prepared fruits, snacks, and local delicacies for us. She never rushed us, cared about whether we were warm enough, and demonstrated excellent driving skills on difficult roads. I knew choosing a female driver and female guide wouldn't be a mistake!

A Day Trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain My group tour to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain took a nice turn, thanks to a flexible plan. Our Grand Cableway ride was supposed to be in the morning, but it got rescheduled to the afternoon. Our guide quickly adjusted the itinerary—we visited Blue Moon Valley first, then the cableway. The valley’s turquoise water, like liquid jade, was breathtaking; we walked the boardwalk and laughed at the icy stream. By 2 PM, we took the cableway up. The snow-dusted peaks against the blue sky made the thin air feel worth it. We snapped photos and enjoyed the quiet grandeur. Our driver waited patiently whenever we lingered, and the customer service team had confirmed the change earlier, keeping everything smooth. Tired but happy by evening, the schedule shift only made the day better. Great service and stunning views—this trip will stay with me.

Our first time working with Klook was a very smooth experience. Since we were traveling with two 80-year-olds, we had many things to consider, especially since their knees weren't in great shape and we needed to avoid too many stairs. During the itinerary planning, Jiajia patiently optimized the design based on our needs until we were completely satisfied. Our driver, Xiao Zhao, proactively helped us take care of the elders during the tour, slowing down and adjusting the pace to accommodate their physical condition. He recommended delicious and cost-effective food, saving us the trouble of researching food guides. He was very trustworthy. In just a few days, we felt like family. I highly recommend finding Xiao Zhao if you come to Tengchong. He's handsome, kind, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions. He is very considerate of his guests and makes you feel right at home.

Solo traveling has a lot of limitations, so booking this tour was really great value for the money. Since there wasn't a tour guide, the driver and master were local Naxi people who took this group of a few people and introduced the scenery and customs of Lijiang and Shangri-La along the way. His driving skills were truly first-class, safe and stable 👍🏻. The itinerary was rich but not too tiring, with enough time for us to slowly acclimatize to the high altitude. I would join again next time I come to Yunnan 👍🏻.

The transportation was also very smooth, and her excellent driving skills ensured our safety. The travel agency's itinerary was well-planned and comprehensive, covering both famous hotspots and unique, lesser-known gems. They also arranged special performances, allowing us to fully appreciate the destination's diverse appeal. The food and accommodations were also quite satisfactory, with clean and comfortable hotels in convenient locations, including a stay at a popular, highly-rated "网红" (internet-famous) hotel 🏨.
