Fantastic 5.0
I really enjoyed this tour. Nancy is super knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information. It was possible to leave stuff in the bus at different stops, which made the sightseeing much more relaxing.

Fantastic 5.0
The Nagoya Inuyama Castle & Magome-juku Full-Day Cultural Tour had a well-planned itinerary and offered a great cultural experience. The places we visited were beautiful and worth seeing, especially for those interested in history and traditional Japanese towns. It was quite hot during the tour, which made the day a bit tiring, but overall, the experience was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the cultural and historical side of the Nagoya area.

Fantastic 5.0
Ordering was very convenient, and I highly recommend this trip. The time allocation was very sufficient! Our guide this time was Vivian, a very enthusiastic and professional guide. In addition to questions about the itinerary itself, she also provided or answered questions about Nagoya travel information. It was great! I will definitely book similar trips again and hope that Vivian will be the guide!

Fantastic 5.0
we were only 3 in the group and the trip still pushed through. it felt like an exclusive tour. we were given more than enough time to explore each place. in Ryujin falls, only less than 10 people there so very exclusive. tip: you can swim in the water so bring your swim clothes, though we are only given 1 hr to explore rhe place which I think is more than enough time.

Fantastic 5.0
A much more strenuous visit than expected! 😂 If you have difficulty walking, I'll be honest, I advise against it, because the climb on Nakasendo is unforgiving—my legs are still sore! Otherwise, from Inuyama to Tsumago-juku, the landscapes are magnificent and breathtaking! If you're lucky enough to go on a clear day, it will only be better. A truly fascinating and wonderful excursion!

Nice day trip and very happy to have our guide (郭华娟), for her appropriate explanation of Nagoya's key atttactions and location details. She also gave details of Japan culture and specialty at different prefecture. Highly recommended!

Fantastic 5.0
The tour was wonderful. Our tour guide, Ogawa-san, was very thoughtful and considerate throughout the trip. Most of the participants were Chinese, and we were the only two Filipinos in the group. Despite this, Ogawa-san made a sincere effort to ensure we understood the historical explanations about each place. She kindly gave us additional explanations and even messaged us separately to confirm the meeting time and location so we would not get confused. Because of her attentiveness, we were never late, and we always felt that she was looking out for us. She was warm and genuinely committed to making sure everyone enjoyed the tour. 1 comment for improvement, please don’t drive too fast, Mr. Driver and maintain the bus. Overall, I truly loved the tour of the old towns. Inuyama Castle was especially memorable — I recommend climbing to the top because the view is absolutely worth it. The evening lighting ceremony was also beautiful and very special. I am very glad I booked this tour.

Fantastic 5.0
To reach Inuyama Castle, you first have to walk up an incline. The stairs to the main keep are quite narrow, but the view from the top of the keep is beautiful for taking photos. Magome-juku is an uphill slope all the way to the observation deck, so it's not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Great 4.0
The overall itinerary was smooth, and there was ample time to explore each tourist spot. Our tour leader, Kevin, provided excellent care and arrangements, and even helped us take photos. However, the itinerary stated two nights at a hot spring inn, but unfortunately, we only stayed there on the first night, which was a bit disappointing.

What to know before visiting Kiso County

Top experiences overview

Kiso County is mainly visited for guided tours, which dominate bookings throughout the year. Demand drifts with the seasons, and the busiest months are when advance planning matters most for these popular guided experiences.

Activities by traveller type

Families will find guided tours the easiest way to see highlights together, with options that suit mixed-age groups. Couples can enjoy more intimate, slower-paced tours that focus on scenery and local culture. Solo travellers and small groups benefit from scheduled tours too — they provide a simple, social way to explore without the fuss of organising transport or logistics.

What travellers from the United States book ahead

Most visitors here plan a bit in advance: typical bookings are made around 11 days ahead, while the earliest planners book closer to 20 days before travel. Booking ahead is especially useful in the peak months, when tours are busiest and space fills up sooner.

Comparing activity categories by price and who they suit

Tours are the single dominant category and also represent the entry-level price point, making them the easiest way in for most travellers. Because Tours are the only category listed, they also show the widest range of options — from standard group outings to more tailored guided experiences — so they suit families, couples and solo travellers alike, with price and style varying from basic to more premium offerings.
