Good to know
- This photography service does not include kimono rental. If you require kimono rental services, please inquire separately for photographer recommendations.
- Both kimono and personal attire are acceptable for shooting. (Wedding dresses and light wedding dresses require separate consultation; light wedding dresses require booking two or more service sets.)
- Walking long distances in kimono wooden sandals can be tiring. We recommend bringing your own comfortable and easily changeable shoes.
- You can specify a photographer when placing your order, but during the busy cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons, shooting times may need to be adjusted based on the availability of the specified photographer. Nico is off on Sundays and Japanese holidays. If you need to specify Nico, please choose other booking dates.
- Kyoto is crowded during the cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons. If possible, choose to shoot before 10:00 or after 16:00, when there will be fewer people and the light will be more beautiful. If you have specific requirements for the shoot, you can choose this option.
- We may publish your photos in our portfolio and on social media. If you do not want us to do so, please let us know in advance. Thank you.
Reviews
Nico is a professional photographer. She did a really good job taking our family photos. She was very patient with my toddler and she even taught us how to pose for the photos. All our photos turned out to be amazing. This trip is very memorable for us as our family reunited again as we live in different countries so Nico made it possible to capture this long lasting memories. 🌸 She also brought us to area to take photos with the Cherry blossoms and it was less crowded area. I would trust her with my photos and if I come back to Kyoto, I would definitely hire her again. And also after our time was up, she even agreed for my last request to take another photo so she was generous of that. We 💯 recommend her for any photo services, she is the best!
my wife and I had an amazing time with Nico who is a phenomenal photographer. she knew exactly how to have a pose and gave instructions really clearly. we really loved the outcome because we had a ton of great photos, we would highly recommend the service to anyone and definitely book Nico.
We had an amazing experience with our photographer in Kyoto! Despite both my husband and I being pretty awkward in front of the camera, she made us feel incredibly comfortable and natural throughout the entire session. It was raining heavily that day, but instead of it ruining the shoot, it actually added a magical touch to the whole experience. She handled everything so gracefully and turned the weather into part of the charm. The final photos were absolutely beautiful — she captured the mood, the scenery, and our connection perfectly. And to top it off, she delivered the edited images to us within a day!
I booked Nico for my birthday shoot in Kyoto — my first ever photoshoot, actually. I’ve always been a bit awkward in front of cameras (classic case of “what do I do with my hands?”), so I was nervous at first. After hours of comparing photographers on Klook, I ended up choosing Nico. Yes, her rate was a little higher than others, but the quality of her photos spoke for themselves — and honestly, it was worth every yen. She arrived right on time, came prepared with props (she even brought a fan and an umbrella!), and guided me through every pose with so much patience. She also knew all the best spots for photos. My only tiny regret was not realising I could’ve chosen the location myself. I would’ve loved to shoot in Gion with the old houses and pagodas, but that’s entirely on me for booking last-minute and not reading properly. Guess that just gives me an excuse to come back to Kyoto for round two! All in all, I’m so glad I booked Nico’s service.
this was a great experience for me and my friend. photographer was very accommodating and helpful. she helped us pose and took great pictures. we didn’t have a lot of time because I was running late but the photographer was efficient and helped us get amazing pictures.
We booked the service for 2 hours. Overall, the photo-taking session was smooth. The photographer has experience in guiding us to pose for photos and also helping us to find spots with fewer tourists. Even without post-editing, the photos look excellent already.
I had an incredible experience with this photography service! The photographer was friendly and made me feel comfortable during the shoot. The photos came out amazing – they really captured the beauty of the traditional outfit and the old streets. Everything looked natural and well-planned. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants special memories from Japan!
Kuriya is our photographer and she patiently guided us in posing and the results were lovely! Highly recommended service if you would like to have a memorable experience during your Kyoto trip!
Our photographer, Nico, was great! She helped direct our poses and brought props for us to use (umbrella, fans). We loved the photoshoot locations she took us to, especially since we would not have found some of those locations ourselves. The photos are lovely and we had a great experience!
I had a great experience with my photographer Albert. Im pretty awkward and introvert so taking pictures in public with a professional photographer was toughtough but Albert was extremely friendly and supportive. He taught me poses to take photos in and gave me very clear directions. While taking the pictures, he will often say things like "oh that's great" , "nice" and "looking good" which really made me feel more comfortable during the photography process 😂 really appreciate the kind words and encouragement! anyways although it was a little on the expensive side, the pictures turned out really well and pretty :) love it!! ❤️
