What to expect
The picturesque seaside town of Augusta is one of the best locations in Australia to view Humpback Whales as they make their epic migration north, filling the beautiful Flinders Bay area. Each year from late May, travelers will experience male Humpback Whales competing for the attention of females through various behaviors, including breaching and thunderous tail slaps.
This area is also a critical calving area for the endangered Southern Right Whale in July and August. The species rested before they migrated to the feeding grounds in Antarctica in the Spring. Minke Whales and the largest animal ever have lived; the Blue Whale is also sighting opportunities with White-bellied Sea Eagles, Osprey, Long-nosed Fur Seals, dolphins, and albatross, often delighting guests onboard the luxurious Alison Maree catamaran.

absolutely amazing experience, i went with naturaliste charters and they are very good in spotting whales, did some chasing and we got close with some whales twice! it was very windy but i think its worthwhile
i highly highly recommend this activity if you’re in the area!! there are 2 Charters for you to choose from, and we went with ‘Naturaliste Charters Whale Watching’. Upon arrival, you can choose either or from the 2 charters, & they’ll have your details already. Super fuss free. The crew onboard were super friendly & approachable as well. Managed to see a few whales & dolphin as well during this trip! The water can get choppy, and just take note to bring medicine if you get sea sick :)
Easy to register as details are already prepared beforehand. can get abit of seasick in more windy conditions but subject to individual's condition.
An absolutely unforgettable experience with Naturalise Charter! From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcomed and the organisation was seamless from start to finish. What truly set this apart was the crew’s knowledge and passion. Throughout the close to 3 hours journey they kept us engaged with fascinating insights and commentary. We also appreciated how attentive the staff were in looking out for passengers experiencing seasickness, that level of care really stood out. And the highlights, we spotted several whales up close, an awe inspiring sight that left us completely speechless! As if that wasn’t enough, a pod of dolphins made a beautiful appearance on our way back to the harbour — the perfect send off! If you are visiting Perth and looking for a magical wildlife experience on the water, look no further. Highly recommended! We left with hearts full and memories to last a lifetime!
Kane and the rest of the crew were fantastic! Very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. We were blessed with beautiful weather too. This was definitely one of the most exciting tours we had in a while.
we got really close to the whale. amazing experience to be able to watch whale near us. however the wave was relly big. make sure to take your sea sick med 30 min before this tour.

The crews were the experts to licate the whales and dolphins. Had really closed up view if the playful whales and dolphins. Worth the teip and definitely value for money.
we were lucky with multiple whale sightings! sometimes they come very close to the boat as well! highly recommend!
